Meet Alan Partridge

Alan Partridge is a familiar face (and voice!) to anyone who enjoys genuinely good television (and radio!), having been seen (and heard!) on shows that have delighted the eyes (and ears!) of viewers (and listeners!) for decades, including BBC teatime show This Time (and North Norfolk Digital coffeetime show Mid Morning Matters!).

Broadcaster, writer, motivational speaker, sports fan, thought-leader, businessman and consummate professional, Alan enjoys bitter shandy, shandied lager, high-end knitwear and personal success. He is currently doing very well indeed.

Summary

Alan returns to podcasting, offering his unique perspective on life’s big questions, the hot-button issues of the day, his professional successes and the most intimate details of his personal life in a series he is already calling ‘seminal’. The second series will come partly from the oasthouse—in order to satisfy people who'd rather he didn’t mess with the format—and partly from other locations—to appeal to those who found the original format a bit limiting.

A real groin wrecker

If the thought of Daniel Beddingfield playing Freddie Mercury, in Alan Partridge's ground-breaking theatrical biopic of Queen, 'A 'Rhapsody in Bohemia', gets you going, then, quite simply, you ain't even touched the surface yet!.
From The Oasthouse, Series 2, picks-up from where its original left off. Akin to how Quentin Tarantino uses violence, Alan Partridge has a fantastic ability to lull you into a repose, painting specific situations via the use of fantastic dialogue and use of specific lexicon before delivering a shockingly funny pay-off.
If you loved Series 1, you will also love Series 2. In fact, forget that, if you Love Alan Partridge, you will love this!.
So do yourself a favour, download this into your Audible library, get it playing on your tablet, pour yourself a deep bath with 3 scoops of Dettol, and listen to this. Indeed, why not indulge yourself with some ladyboys at the same time.........THE DRINKS.....not the people.

Another great installation from AP

Very good, it didn’t flag at all. Relentless wry comedy. Perfectly teased near the end, being in the foothills of a big adventure and grand finale. I look forward to the next instalment.

Perfect Partridge

Had me laughing out loud.
Thank you Steve Coogan for giving us this character, who could slot right into the conservative front benches without anyone raising an eyebrow.
Loved it.😂

Maybe not quite as good a season 1, but still very funny. I must have looked like a right fool laughing away during my lunch break

His old stuff is also good

I think he’s proved:

A) he’s right, and
B) a lot of people wrong

Shappys a right laugh as well
