About this listen
All his life, Jack Callaghan has been a fighter and a survivor.
For his country - as a Navy SEAL in Vietnam. For his family - as the proud son of immigrants, a fierce friend, beloved husband, and father of seven strapping sons. For his life - in war, in covert ops, and now unexpectedly stricken by a shadow that's loomed over the Callaghan men for generations.
Jack's most recent brush with death brings back a lifetime of memories in vivid, realistic detail. The best times of his life, as well as the worst. Through it all, he's always fought the good fight, because he's always had people depending on him.
But now, his sons are grown, with families of their own. They run the Pub, the Team, and the family, as well.
After 25 years without his croie, he's tired...tired of fighting, tired of existing without her. Especially when he is so close to seeing his Kathleen again.
Contains mature themes.
©2016 Abbie Zanders (P)2017 TantorI was pulled into the story right from the beginning, just like I have with all the others in this series, I didn't come out of this story until I had finished reading the last word written, all the while I had my little mini movie playing in my head.
I wasn't sure what to expect with this book, although I knew I would enjoy it, as this series is one of my favourite I have read to date.
Emotions are rife through out this book, I laughed, I got annoyed, I got frustrated and yes I cried. But it doesn't matter how many times I read or listen to this book, I go through all the emotions each time and at the same places.
There are surprises throughout this story, some are large, some are small, some you may see coming and others you won't, but they all help to make the book the awesome read that it is.
I highly recommend this series, I will say read the books in order, as you will understand the characters better. If you have not read any of the books by Abbie Zanders, I personally do not think that you will regret it.
Abbie Zanders is one hell of an author, I personally am so pleased that I found her and her books. It is one of my better decisions reading her books, I have never read one of her books that I haven't enjoyed, it doesn't matter what genre she writes, she never fails to write an fantastic story.
One think I never do when I write a review, is include anything that happens with in the book I am reviewing. I personally do not like reading reviews with spoilers in the.
This has become my favourite story

I did laugh a lot & cried a lot which is the sign of a good book, one that takes you on a journey.
Aiden Snow did a brilliant job all the way through which helped the book come alive.
At a later date i like to listen to it again. I would definitely recommend this series.

2. Beautifully written, it was so easy to visualise the stories - almost like watching a series of films.
3. Loved all the characters and their “cries” although my favourite is big silent Kane.
4. My one criticism is there should have been a bit more action and input re the Callaghan’s special ops. Also there was some unnecessary repetition of similar phrases and words in the books.
5. Narration: OMG Aidan Snow just made this series spectacular. His voice acting was truely beautiful and award worthy. He gave each character their individual voice and made it seem so real. He made me laugh and he made me cry. Plus his voice is delight - warm sexy and certainly easy to listen to.
6. As for Forever Mine - I loved how this last book was different - I loved the structure, how it went back and forward in time and explained the back story, how it tied up all the ends and how it had a different type of happy ending. Although I have to admit I cried a lot at the end and I rarely cry about stories.
7. This is a series I will listen to again, sometime in the future.
The last book in a great series.
