About this listen
I’m not a deadbeat.
I didn’t know my kid existed before Milo showed up, but now that I do, I’m determined to keep my beautiful little Sofie in my life. Even if it means I need to spend time around her irritable uncle, Milo. The man pushes all of my buttons.
He riles me up until I can’t think of anything except kissing him. Definitely not the reaction he expects. He’s not out, but I’m not the type to hide. Is there any way to make it work for our new family?
Family means everything.
Eryk’s a cocky playboy. He’s not good enough to be my niece’s father, but unfortunately, DNA says otherwise. Father or not, I’m not about to walk out of little Sofie’s life.
Which means I have to walk into Eryk’s even though I can’t stand him. So why is he so hard to resist? I decided on a closeted life a long time ago. It’s the only way to stay safe and successful. Could I bring myself to step out of the closet if it means having the true love of a family?

Famous and in the closet, deep.
Sad start to a great book, but it takes you through a roller-coaster of emotions.
Milo deeply hidden in the closet, so deep he forgets that he's gay. Famous straight actor. He also has his niece to look after, after the death of his sister.
Eryk, one of the stars of Ink'd and a playboy. Very out and very into men, multiples yes, please.
Great book with twist and hardships, a very well written book which I have enjoyed greatly. Can't wait for the next book in the series.
Clear narration from Connor Brown, I did speed up to 1.35 which's normal for me.

One of my favourites
This is definitely one of my favourites in the series.
Milo and Eryk had a rather bumpy start; fists were flying and tempers were running high. At the heart of their situation was little Sofia who needed them both to work together. They both pulled themselves together but ended up falling down the same rabbit hole together which, caused a whole lot of different troubles.
Eryk surprised me because I genuinely didn’t think he had it in him to give up his ‘variety’ for his little girl. Eryk became a great dad and I loved watching him interact with Sofia.
Milo took his sweet time getting his act together but when he finally realised what truly mattered, he took the necessary steps to rectify his mistakes.
I thoroughly enjoyed the narrator’s performance.

An Unexpected Family
Forbidden Ink is the sixth book in the Get Ink’d series and really shows the series expanding into new cities and introducing new and different characters. I liked this transformation for the series and think it will be interesting to follow the Get Ink’d crew as they spread out to new venues. Although this book is part of a series, it can be read as a standalone.
Eryk and Milo are completely different at first look – Eryk is the bisexual playboy and Milo is the responsible, in-the-closet movie star—but a devastating loss brings these two men together. The relationship begins with a punch and angry accusations, and the animosity between the two men remains high until they finally connect. Once that connection is made, the romance between Milo and Eryk is really sweet. There are some angsty moments, but the cuteness and romance soothes all the angst by the end. This was a fun book that I enjoyed listening to, and I would love to see more of Milo and Eryk.

Great listen
Another fantastic book in the Get Inked world. Milo and Eryk come together after mill's sister dies, just before her death she told Milo who the father of her daughter is. It was really good reading/listening to the navigate a new normal for them and becoming closer together. Cant wait to see what's next in this series.

Another amazing book
Loved this one. Even though they were not original members of the Get Ink'd crew, I'm excited to see the series expanding to the other coast. I really enjoyed the relationship between the MC's and the way that they put the child between them first. They both impressed me, and I loved how much was tied into the Ink'd family as well.

Smacked in the face with his past.
Book 6 in the Get Ink"d series. Eryk has only recently joined his sister to work at Get Ink'd and was shocked to be approached by successful actor Milo while working and even more shocked with what Milo had come to tell him! Enemies to lovers plot with some angst. Connor Brown did a great job narrating their story.

Great Story in an Enjoyable Series
When I first met Eryk, in the previous book, I didn’t have/feel an attachment to him. I just knew him as the flirt who’s sister worked at Get Ink’d. I was a little surprised that he turned out to be the next mc. That indifference didn’t last very long, once I dove into this book.
I absolutely fell in love with this book, it’s characters, the storyline...everything. The raw emotion, coming from both men, spoke to me and had me fully invested. Milo’s closeted lifestyle made my heart ache for him. Eryk’s history wasn’t all roses and sunshine. Their journey to love and family was not going to be easy.
This was another fantastic addition the the series. It was very well written, filled with characters with hidden depths and huge hearts. As always, it ends with the final chapter giving us a glimpse into the mcs for the next book. It is going to be good!
Narration: While I did not hate the narration, I don’t feel like it highlighted the emotional depth these characters have. It felt more flippant and bordering on cheesy. If I hadn’t already read the book, I wouldn’t have had the same connection with the characters, because I didn’t have the same experience in audio format as I had by simply reading. That said, his voice was pleasant and he stayed in character throughout the book. You will know who’s talking. I’m not sure if it’s just my copy, but there are some editing errors sprinkled throughout. Some sounds, that were probably cues of some kind, weren’t cut out in a few places, and occasionally the narrator repeated himself. I looked in the reviews, and no one else mentions it (so far). So, hopefully it’s just my copy. It wasn’t a constant thing, and didn’t ruin anything.

Forbidden Ink
I've loved this series, and this is my favorite of them all. Overall, low angst and, to be honest, I think there could have been more. That said, I loved the listen, and the narration was good. I did alter the speed some.

I shouldn’t be attracted to you but I am
Milo has every reason to be wary of Eryk. His beloved sister has died and, on her deathbed, she named the father of her young daughter. Eryk’s a playboy who loves his booze, his women, his men, and his job as a tattoo artist at Get Ink’d. He also loves his celebrity status as a reality show is being shot in the store. Eryk is everything Milo dislikes. Milo, although a famous actor, is low-key. His parents – his father in particular – instilled in him that if he wanted to be a successful star, he had to stay in the closet. Suppress the urges. Fight his authentic self.
Now the two men are in close proximity. Milo believes he’s honoring his sister’s wishes by letting Eryk know he’s a father, but he expects the playboy to walk away from the responsibility. That doesn’t work out so well. Because Eryk’s willing to step up to the plate and be the dad little Sophie deserves.
And when the men spend time together? Suddenly things aren’t so simple. But when they are accidentally outed, Milo does what he always does when it comes to his sexuality. He lies. Eryk understands, to a certain extent, but he’s willing to give up everything to be with Sophie and Milo. But is he willing to stay in the closet for the rest of his life?
I’m enjoying the Get Ink’d series because there’s always great conflict. This book had plenty of that. And I was thrilled to see new characters introduced, and that there’s going to be an LA franchise. More books to come. Finally, I’ll mention Connor Brown. I’ve enjoyed his narration through the series and I thought he did well with this book, even with little Sophie. Can’t wait for the next one.

Milo and Eryk
One day Milo shows up with his niece and Eryk finds out he’s a father. How twisted would it be if said father shows Milo the way out of the closet. It’s a sweet romance, with a cute toddler in the middle. Eryk is a player but things change when Milo gives him half a chance. Good narration and a great story to add to the series.
