With the Slosth and Devil Incursions taken care of, Drew Wright should be settling down for some well-deserved rest. But… the world is still in shambles, survivors are fighting over limited resources, and he no longer has access to magical, gun-wielding minions.

Drew needs to find a new way to control hordes of undead minions without his brain leaking out through his ears. a step backwards from the last book.

I was enjoying this at the beginning but then the whole business with the awakens is introduced and then completely dropped.

Drew some how feels stale and annoying with his whole morality with using sentient undead got annoying. his power compared to book two makes him look seriously nerfed down.

the storys pacing and plot is all over the place.

A very disappointing and irritating abrupt cliffhanger ending.

I'll still read the next one if it comes but this is a series step down.
