About this listen

Cora Goode has woken up in a fairytale world where she can understand what birds are saying, men ride horses and have fluffy feathers in their hats and furniture zigs, zags and whirls in miracles of construction.

The problem is, she thinks she’s in a dream. Without realizing it, Cora does something that starts a centuries-old curse that will sweep the land if she gets captured by the evil Minerva.

At this point, her dream becomes a nightmare.

Luckily, hot guy, fantasyland Noctorno is there to save her from the clutches of Minerva.

Unfortunately, hot guy, fantasyland Noctorno doesn’t like Cora all that much. He has his reasons, but no matter what our Cora does to try to convince him, he won’t be convinced.

Cora needs Tor to keep her safe and guide her through this fantastical world all while she hopes one day to wake up in her not-so-great apartment in her not-so-great life in her world.

The problem is, the more time she spends with the gorgeous warrior Tor, the faster she falls in love with him.

My second favourite book in this series

We do get the alpha male, overbearing, possessive and protective MMC and a slightly stunned MFC who wakes up in a alternative world and does not know up from down. They are fated mates but a evil powerful witch will stop at nothing to separate them. The story has a Disney enchanted land feel to it, with a lot of spicy action. This time the MMC actually comes to our world and manages to navigate it well.
As always, great narration.

Just keeps you wanting.

Unlike some of the trilogy’s on tv where the 2nd and 3rd are no where near as good as the 1st, this series keeps you glued to it and wanting more. I am not one to ruin the enjoyment for you by telling you what will happen. I will say that if you love this type of book, you will not regret reading this series. Sincerely hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

cute 💖

Let's be honest; KA is the hallmark of books. Every single male character is absolutely the same, all gorgeous, sex gods, and they are "assholes" with "cool names.” And the women are also the same, sweet, stupid naive, think everyone is hot, and constantly say, let me go, ok and big guy.
But just like hallmark movies, even if they're literally the same movie with different cast, KA books are fun, light and gives you the same happy feeling at the end.
this book is no exception, it's hilarious, sexy, and entertaining.

Fab fantasy romance

I am not usually a fan of fantasy books but this one I loved, mainly because it is character driven, with the fantasy element simply adding a new dimension (literally!) to the plotline. Set in the same world as the two previous books in this series, my only criticism is that the epilogue was really the prologue of the next book.

If you are a romance reader who normally avoids books which depart from the real world, this fantasy series by Kristen Ashley is a good place to start. The first three books could be read as standalones, but as the fantasy element follows a developing storyline through each book, it’s probably best to read them in order

Sex in Every Chapter, Really !!!

OK story but struggled with the descriptive abundance of sex in every chapter. Unnecessary and to be honest , boring.
This book has put me of Red Velvet Cake for life.....oh, and the poor horse has been subjected to finding his own way home whilst his master is otherwise "engaged ".
Don't bother wasting your credit or money unless this is your thing. Felt sorry for the Narrator. I was cringing, listening to it.

I am so DNFing this crap

Kristen Ashley will forever bring fault taste in my mouth.
I loved Wildest Dreams, it was my first book of this author, and I happily ignored all problematic stuff, because I enjoyed new concept and twisting storyline.
By third book in the series I know better.
KA is no writer, she puts same character in different bizarre scenarios, with her (also same) brute of a man, and gets off to them being terribly toxic and unhealthy.
In her books there is no plot, story structure, character development, not even diverse vocabulary. None of those things even on basic level.
It is fanfiction at best.
I can't say, it still can be enjoyable, in guilty pleasure kind of way.
I just can't CAN'T stand physical abuse being rationalized and justified repeatedly in those scenarios. He shoved her? He was worried, she forgets and forgives. Pushed her? Dragged her? Slapped her? Raped her? I just can't. It is internalized misogyny in the finest. Her books make me seriously sad. I am not one to kink shame, really, but the way KA portraits those situations, I would suggest therapy, or some education.
