Summary

TOPGUN instructor Luke Henry quits the Navy to start a private aerial combat school in Nevada. A lucrative contract with the U.S. government brings him 20 Russian MiG-29 fighter planes with the condition that he train a group of Pakistani Air Force Pilots hand-picked by the Department of Defense. Luke is hesitant to train fighters from another country in the skills he learned at TOPGUN, but he cannot open the school without agreeing. The closer he gets to these students, however, the more he suspects that they may have an agenda of domestic terrorism that will soon spiral out of control.

With Fallout, James W. Huston scores big with his most riveting and thought-provoking thriller yet. The plot twists and turns with excitement until the startling conclusion.

Good story, but narration could've been better

Really enjoyed the storyline, it's written at a good pace

But the narration pace was off, and, unlike many audiobooks where accents are well delineated, it made it harder to know which character was spwaking

Bit loose

Good story - some characters weak and narrative dragged out here and there with naive rambling thoughts

Awful narrator, decent book

Worse narration I’ve ever heard on an audiobook. Monotone and dull. Very little attempt at making characters sound different and no emotion or excitement added.
Story seemed ok and I did listen to the end but narrator just made it seem dull and a bit difficult to follow.

Thin plot, not enough research and very lame narration

I started this book as it came recommended by Audible in the plus category. What a mistake. The plot is ridiculously thin. The storyline hasn’t been researched at all with even basic country airlines incorrectly named. And to make matters even worse the narration is by far the worst I have listened to. It’s like listening to the shipping weather forecast. You have to really concentrate to understand what’s being said. Give it wide miss !!!

Read like a train timetable

The story was OK but very predictable .
The narrator is the worst I have heard.
It was like you had called a call centre - the lack of action / emotion is his voice was shocking!

Bad narration

This is the first book that I couldn’t finish, the narration was awful so can’t really comment on the story.

Not the greatest

It’s a bit juvenile and obvious. The narration is terrible. I kept persevering but it didn’t really improve
