Summary

Stranded on a hostile planet, one man finds himself thrust into a fight for survival that could decide the fate of an entire world . . .

As an engineer on the arkship Pilgrim-9, bound for the Tau Ceti solar system, Morgan Hall thought his life would revolve around maintaining and repairing the ship and supporting the needs of the five thousand colonists aboard. But when he’s roused early from a 240-year stasis, he’s confronted with chaos.

Along with his shipmates, Morgan is brought down to a planet teeming with peril. Forced to fight for their survival without any of their tech to hand, they must adapt quickly to overcome countless threats in a world where magic is as real as science. Eventually, they begin to create a new existence for themselves.

But just as they’re beginning to feel at home, Morgan and his fellow humans discover the planet is already inhabited by intelligent life-forms—and this native species is cunning, powerful, and all too lethal . . .

Not for Mentschen.

Mediocre writing as can be expected but plot and character wise this drivel isn’t fit fur purpose.

Clumsy and illogical, better give your children something not this.

Not worth more of my effort than these few sentences.

Only 1 problem

The narrator cannot pronounce azure. There is every good. It’s not a sci-fi/litrpg hybrid, it’s just litrpg.

Not a Sci-fi Litrpg

At the start with the sample it seems like he would be stuck on the ship but that's not the case it really is just a System tower fantasy great characters and I enjoyed the multiple point of view in the story I just wish he did more with the ship like it crashing on the planet feels weird they can have guns but technology is forbidden

solid story yet some flaws

solid litrpg yet the MC was too heroic. He questioned very little, didnt pick up on obvious red flags and clues, and gave away tons of loot that would not have appeared of it wasn't for him, to others. My biggest issue was Bronwyn who was a decent character yet an absolute selfish, greedy c@nt bucket when it came to sharing loot, even when the loot wasn't hers. She literally stole loot from others kills, mainly the MC and above that, stole what may have been the most epic piece of gear from the final boss. Loot stealing is the number one biggest nono.

Enjoyed it!

Started a little slow for me but it picked up and the characters feelings started to shine through. Much better than the dull grind of other progression stories that focus on how the individual somehow miraculously figures out magic or some ability through sheer godlike will, over and over. Thank you. I will buy your next book

Great book!!

This one fits right in with Defiance of the Fall, life in Exile, and He who fights with Monsters. And not to forget Primal Hunter

Great take on the genre

The start of a terrific sci fi, turns into one of the best lit rpg fantasy novels currently available.

rooting for humanity.

many good story lines, really kept my interest through out the entire book, wish I knew more about how the leveling worked, but definitely not a deal breaker.

I loved it.

I find this take on litrpg to be very different and interesting. It has major potential for development and progression and I’m salivating to see what this author has in store for us next.

meh

it could have been good. great maybe, unfortunately another multi pov let's follow this character. whilst they work through whatever angst they have and then go on to make stupid decisions that don't follow their actual character models. it's a long book nothing else special if youve read one litrpg you've read them all apparently.
