Summary
Trouble in the Dales. A brutal gang of poachers. When one of the unsavories is killed, can a DCI stop a river of revenge from overflowing with blood?
Detective Harry Grimm is reaching another milestone in the Dales. As he completes the purchase of his new house, his plans for moving in are disrupted when a trespasser falls into a grisly calculated trap and bleeds out.
Tracking back to a recent violent confrontation in a local pub, Grimm and his team assemble a long list of suspects. But when a principal lead disappears in a potentially murderous payback, he fears it’s the start of an all-out slaughter across his idyllic countryside.
Can he halt a killer stalking human prey before the butchery destroys his beloved land?
Fair Game is the electrifying 11th book in the DCI Harry Grimm Crime Thrillers series. If you like steadfast cops, chilling clues, and gruesome puzzles, then you’ll love David J. Gatward’s suspenseful hunt.

Anything can and does happen in the dales
Though born in the middle of England I wed a dalesman so I can believe that anything could and did happen in that part of the British isle’s and I’m so enjoying reading the authors well written take on life ‘up dale’.

Only very good this time.
This is a very good listen from one of my favourite authors. However I didn't think it was a good as the previous books, the character development wasn't to me as good and the story seemed a little rushed. Still good though and a bit gruesome in parts. Good descriptive interludes of our beautiful Yorkshire countryside which as a blind listener I more than appreciate. Aubrey Parsons is a superb narrator and just right for the Grimm series. Look forward to the next book.

A great listen as always
I love the Harry Grim books. This is no exception! However this time I felt it was missing a bit of the social interaction between the colleagues.
I was also a little puzzled that the really really bad guys did not have more of a role in the story.
Gyll should have had more of a profile too. I would like to see him feature again in a future book.
Don't get too rushed into churning out too many books, too quickly David! I am guilty of clamouring for the next book, each time I read one, but this book felt a little rushed. The beautiful picture painting of scenery and personalities is a very important part of your success with the Grimm series. Still a devoted fan though xXx

Did not like the narration at all.
All of the voices in this performance sounded like very old or tiny people.
The story was ok but a little predictable.

David Gatward and Aubrey Parsons, Thank You!!!!
No need to write about the story, if you love this series you will be thoroughly enchanted by this storyline. Just be prepared to listen non stop as you won't want to quit, and then it will be over too fast.

Fantastic as usual. I love these stories so much. Makes me wish I could go to the Dales and witness the beauty. Perhaps even meet “the team”. Waiting for the next book!

My favorite British crime series!!
I just love this series. I love all of the characters and I can't wait to hear what's been happening since the last time we were together. I also love that everyone likes each other and that the team works well together. Too many books in this genre have unlikeable characters with too much strife in their lives and with each other. I also love the descriptions of the Dales, and the food, and there is plenty of humor weaved throughout the stories.
Aubrey Parsons is brilliant in this series and I can not imagine anyone else voicing these characters.
Can't wait for the next book to come out on Audible!!
