Summary
Funny thing about surviving...you’ve gotta keep it up.
High in the Craster Mountains sits a small town protected from the outside world by a godly barrier.
But that barrier is the work of no god, it was created by Clive, a warrior, a leader and a very angry chef who just wants a peaceful life.
Hordes of vengeful enemies amassing along the borders of the Forsaken Land are going to make sure that doesn’t happen. For while Far Reach is safe, Clive’s allies are in imminent danger of being swept away by the coming storm.
It’s time for the powerful rag-tag army of Far Reach to remerge and make their presence felt. Culinary delights are off the menu and cans of whoop-ass have taken their place…

Can't wait for the next installment
I've binged the first three books and now I'm looking forward to more. The series has become one of my favourites along with dungeon Crawler Carl and He Who Fights with monsters. Its well worth the credits. 😁

Excellent
One of my favorite audible books. The humor is perfect for the narrators voice. Worth listening to twice.

Loved it
This book was so well done for me… It’s one of the few times I actually was upset about a character’s potential passing… For a book to bring emotion out of me it’s a pretty big deal. I cannot wait for more.

I couldn't put it down!
I'm so happy with this most recent volume! Just like all the others before, it's an EXCELLENT book. I pre-ordered it and finished it a little more than a day later. It's extremely captivating and creative, and all of the characters are incredibly well written. I love all the character growth too! Far too many books fall flat in that regard. Honorable mention of the narrator, if I could give him 6 stars I would! He really makes this book come alive

The journey of Clive just gets better and better!
First off, I absolutely love this narrator. For a main character as British as this one, he's a perfect fit.
Second, I am thrilled that Clive actually got a moment of peace, even if it were all too brief. He keeps growing, both as a person, realizing more about himself and his strengths and shortcomings, and skill-wise, where he's starting to really ascend into the higher ranks.
I can't wait to see where this goes!

Alot of stuff happens not boring at all
Some of these books take hours to get almost nothing done. This book has a lot of action and stuff keeps moving forward. Also no whiny main character is nice

Hard to listen to so far.
I was excited when this book came out I couldn't wait to listen to it and now i'm about 4 hours in and the main character has turned into a bumbling, ass kissing, moron, and he is supposed to have over 300 intelligence. I guess the author forgot that, because he has regressed.
I will keep plugging away hoping it gets better, and if it does I will change this review.

I'm not feeling this one as of yet
ok so I'm a big fan of the series but it's just lost all it's momentum and I can't really get myself to care. I'm about 3 hours into this and the only thing Clive has accomplished is to get his stupid restaurant open. it's all been like a B grade slice of life novel. then his "best friend" (the paladin of devotion) has to go fight on the front lines against darkness and instead of offering to help him fight he offers to send him and his soldiers there through a portal along with a couple of his people to serve as messengers. B's if my best friend was going to fight for his life you are darn right I would be right beside him. idk this book ha just turned on me. like we are in the third book or like 40 hours into the story and our mc is still not embracing the fact that he is a deity and still only interested in cooking when his whole world is fixing to end. I'm over it

Really enjoyed the series!
Not sure if the series is done? The ending was kinda abrupt but authors privilege. I'm waiting for the next something. Thank you for the story.
