Summary

The entire thrilling series, all in one set!

The man I fell in love with is a f--king liar.

I don't have much time to reveal all the details, but I will say this: The "Woman disappears after wedding" and "Woman flees after honeymoon" headlines are lying.

I'm not missing.

I didn't run away after my wedding.

I would've never run away right after our amazing honeymoon.

My husband has taken me.

No, correction: He's kidnapped me because he claims that "its what's best". That I'm a mere pawn in his twisted game of chess.

Despite the fact that my heart is still tethered to his or the fact that he's still the most gorgeous and beautiful man I've ever met in my life (he can still make me wet with a single sentence), I have to focus on getting away from him.

I have to accept that he's no longer the man I fell in love with.

He's the king of lies....

A tiptoe into "dark" w/Ms. G's sassy romance style

I love Whitney G's books because they aren't romantic comedies but i find myself laughing uncontrollably about the scenarios the FMC finds themselves in. This book is no exception, even though the laugh factor was minimal in this story, there was still witty banter, sass-talking, and guys who tell it like it is. These books are quick and easy to listen to, but also cant put it down and could easily finish in one sitting. This book is a little "dark" and i loved it. Crime, kidnapping, murder, dark abused past, but not so involved that it would be hard to listen to or cope. Perfect balance for a quick read. It will make you have all the feelings without haunting you about the situations.

Audiobook: Muffy Newtown is a BIG hit or miss for me - this book she was a hit. I half wonder if it's production direction given by the author or publisher because sometimes it's hard to listen to her winey or breathy narration (like she's got a frog in her through and is whisper talking forcing her words out in a panic in every scene = anxiety-inducing) and sometimes she's spot on with confidence and sass, thankfully this book was the latter, I loved her male voice and it's a great listen!

Great book but ..

I have 2 issues with this book and Whitney G’s style of writing.
1) The way she wrote the past and present was kind of hard to keep up with.
2) in every book I’ve listened to, when 2 people are emailing back and forth he always writes the entire subject line of the email and God forbid there is a signature in the persons email because that gets read every single response. That’s the only issue I have with her writing.

Oooh this was so good!

Mystery, romance, action, justice and then some 😏🔥 I must confess, I got quite snappy every time someone bothered me 😑 and made me 😱 pause!

WHITNEY G HAS HIT ME AGAIN!!!

I loved this listen from the beginning. This was perfection for me; the author, the narrators, and the story! It's hard for me to review something I really enjoyed without sharing spoilers, so I won't try. I am sure you will enjoy this as much as I did. HAPPY LISTENING!!

She's on a roll ladies and gentleman😂

Chile I did not expect another book release from her so soon but I'll take it. This was a great treat as I've said in other reviews the girl can write just wished more often. This book not only gives that Whitney G cocky romance but also murder and suspense. You will love the chase, the hot romance, the humor, and the justice!!! She did good folks!!!

Exceeded my expectations.

Whitney G, Joe Arden, and Muffy Newton are perfection. So many twists and turns. Even though this was different from other books I’ve read from this author, there was still witty humor and dialogue. The characters were really well developed. I had all the emotions and I loved the ending. Highly recommended. Definitely worth the credit.

Not Quite There

I like Whitney G’s sense of humor and easy style. The author makes a statement at the beginning of this one that admits this mini-series is not like her usual writing, but she loved the intent and the characters, so she went with it. Who am I to deny an author the right to step out of her genre?? But, as an avid reader, I would tell WG that she should be bolder if she dabbles again. This not quite mystery/suspense, not quite romance failed to evoke tension in either realm. It didn’t take long for me not to care about solving anything, and the romance didn’t even make sense. Sigh. A lot of potential for a “good girl” and “the devil,” but it was squandered. Shame.

Wouldn’t recommend for a credit or even a sale book.

deep

This book was dark and beautiful. Great characters, great story and different than most romance and I liked that. hope to see more of the dark romance in the future by Whitney G.

Absolutely Brilliantly Wriiten

This was an intelligently thought through plot and ultimate story. The actors are two of my favorites, pseudonyms aside.Joe Arden and Erin Mallon are outstanding narrators and they served the story well. Kudos to everyone involved with this project!
