Summary

To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing this letter to formally announce my resignation from Parker International (and the arrogant, condescending CEO) effective two weeks from today. This was a very easy decision to make, as the past two years have been utterly miserable. I wish his next executive assistant all the luck in the world (she'll need it) and if my boss should need me to do anything over the next two weeks, kindly tell him that he can do it [his] goddamn self....

Sincerely (Not Really),
Tara Lauren

That's the version of my two weeks' notice I should've sent to my boss, because the more professional version - the one where I said I was "grateful for all the opportunities", and "honored by all the rewarding experiences" over the years? That letter was rejected with his sexy, trademark smirk and an "I highly suggest you read the fine print of your contract...."

So, I did. And now I've realized that unless I fake my death, poison him, or find a way to renegotiate my impossible contract, I'm stuck working under one of the cockiest and most ruthless bosses in New York.

Then again, I thought that was the case until he called me late last night with an emergency proposition....

This is a standalone contemporary romance.

Rape is rape !!!!!!!,!!!M!!!

Why Arden and Mallon have touched this I will never understand ?

A CEO who sexually assault a female employee, will never become OK in Denmark, I know that in the US, woman only need silicone and dick.
And the men only need a President who let them get away with sexism and racism.
Why not just leave this book on .com, there are a lot of books from the I WOULD like on .co.uk.

Don’t waist your money I returned mine it’s utter rubies.
For Denmark, with love.

Terrible

Listened to half before I had to quit. Basically a story about people hooking up in workplace with constant foul language

A good romantic audiobook

I enjoyed the audiobook and loved the narrators voices. I would hav3 given 5 stars if there was more dramatic tension within the plot.

Mixed feelings about this one

Not my favorite Whitney G. book, but...

Loved the beginning of the book. There were good parts throughout, however things gets a bit tiresome by the middle of the book.

There is a point that the love/hate, push/pull between the main characters is so over the top that it makes them very unlikable.

Love Joe Arden's narration, so that made it easier for me to finish the book.

I wouldn't say not to read it, as I am sure many people will love it, but it just wasn't for me.

Narration is Terrible

The narration from the female is absolutely annoying. She growls with any word that ends in "r". "driverrrrrrrrrrr", "riverrrrrrrrrr", "doorrrrrrrr", "barrrrrrrr". Everything ending I "r" is a ridiculous growl. Lousy narration and highly annoying.

Sexy, hilarious romance!

This audiobook was so entertaining that at times I laughed aloud. The heroine is trying to find a job in NYC, without much luck. With her funds dwindling, she starts stopping by a luxury hotel for their free breakfast- meant for customers of the hotel. One day she gets caught and when trying to make a getaway, literally runs into the owner of the hotel. He sits her down and after a few minutes talking he offers her the job as his assistant. They have a love hate relationship, but their attraction to each other is off the charts. He’s the most demanding and rude boss and after 2 years she decides to quit. I don’t want to give away spoilers, but loved the ending! Narration was excellent!

Awesome story destroyed by Erin Mallon

I've had this in my library for a while, but seeing Erin Mallon as one of the narrators, I kept dreading listening to it no matter how much I wanted to. I know she's popular and has her own fan base, and I will admit she has the BEST male voice I've heard. However, her voice is so bad. she hangs on to the ends of her sentences in a way I can compare to as gut wrenching as nails on a chalk board. And the way she says p*ssy makes it the least sexy word....ever. the only reason I gave 3 stars for performance was bc of yummy Joe Arden and Erins male voice.

As for the story itself: it was super cute. If you are the type that like a story loaded with sexual scenes with very little story otherwise, this is not for you. the sex is light but the sexual tension and banter is just as good!

Narrator

The female narrator litterally sings the last word of most of her sentences. she makes a good book hardcro listen to. She does an up tick or something with the final word and it is HARD to ignore!

waste of credit

hated it. didn't finish. mostly it was the female narrator. listen to the other reviews about how she rolls her r's at weird times. then the h in the story is just a horrible person. I barely got to 50%. DNF

I should add I still live the male narrator. He's the only reason I even got this title.

Joe and Erin are amazing and smoking hot!

I really enjoyed this book! Yes, it’s a similar plot/trop where the assistant hates her boss, yet they both end up together. But I still like it. Also, anytime I get to hear Joe Arden and Erin Mallon narrate the audiobook is a great time!

Preston, the billionaire hotelier is a jerk. Tara becomes his assistant. He doesn’t seem to respect her, and he takes up all of her available time. She resents it, and they go back and forth. I loved it. Strong chemistry, and some great supporting characters. It was a fun, kinda quick read.

First Whitney G book I didn't like.

Loved Joe Arden's narration and wish he read the entire book. The 5 star performance is for him Erin disappointed me in this one. As for the book I didn't like Tara at all. However, don't let my review stop you from reading it for yourself, you might have a different opinion than I did.

Just Couldn’t Do It..

I really REALLY wanted to like this book. Unfortunately after reading 15 chapters I was so bored that I skipped to the last 2. I knew there was an actual story in there somewhere but it took so long to get there or to get anywhere that I just lost interest. I’m a BIG Joe Arden fan but Erin Mallory’s voice has a tendency to put me to sleep. If you like l o n g drawn out stories that go on forever about nothing, then after 25 chapters, gets started, go ahead and read this one. There are other, much better books calling my name.
