Still going strong
As expected the events from the previous story force Zac into facing detailed trials and tribulations. Some wonderfully crafted barriers for Zac to face and although we see some old characters this doesn't really touch much on Earth events and stranded characters which I think is a bit of a shame. For all that the story flows well and the stories do seem to gain momentum although the complexity and complications of who is doing what is getting a bit hard to follow I found.
However I'm still a fan and shall be keeping a keen eye on the next in Zacs story.

Slow as always but still fun
The series in general is slow but regardless it’s a good listen.
The series has always struggled with writing quality but this is made up for with an exciting plot and Proczkos narration.

only powering upf
a little repetitive. Was hoping a little more story. Was a little dull, basically a book about powering up.

is the end in sight?
The good thing about this series is you don't have to wait too long for instalments to land. The writing is good enough and although there is still some character introspection it doesn't seem to be endless as it was in some of the earlier books. The story is moving on but to be honest I think this is one the author is going to stretch out for the foreseeable future. In a universe full of possibility the author seems to want to enlarge the stage and get as many players on stage as possible.
When I read something like, the Wandering Inn series, I struggle because I'm always worried a character I like will be killed. With this series I'm so not arsed about them I don't care which makes it an easy listen, although you could argue I'm not very invested!

the story gets better and better
Its crazy these last two installments are far superior than the previous books. I just want more! The world is so vivid, the writing is so colourful and expressive.
I can't wait for the next book. hopefully it gets released sooner than later.
