Summary
After months of silence, here she stands on my front porch, waiting to be let in again. But it's the same play every time, and I know how this ends - I give her all I have, and she carries it with her on the way back to him.
I should turn her away, but I won't. Couldn't do it if I tried.
Because no matter how many times she pops back up, pulls me in, and drags me under, it will never be enough. I'll always want more. More of her. More for us.
And she'll always choose him.
Contains mature themes.

Feel defenseless!
Ugh, I feel battered. Loved this! This is as good as book 1 - if not better! I will try some more from this author. The narrators were good too.

defenceless hearts
Great story a little heartbreaking at points. Frustrating in parts also but definitely glad we got to hear Parkers story he was my favourite character from the 1st book and definitely deserved his own story.

MFC too annoying
This wasn’t a great listen, I skipped through chunks of it. MFC was just to annoying. Vapid and weak. Didn’t like the constant going back and forwards. The villian was hardly in it and as such you didn’t really care when he got his comeuppance. Parker was a doormat.
I liked the fact Kalani and Nate were in it and enjoyed their interactions.
Yet again the male narrator was awful. Like an over eager puppy, and his female voices were dreadful.
