Summary
Risa Chandler's prescient dreams of death and murder haunted her nights. They also proved invaluable for Adam Raiker's brilliant team of forensic criminologists, the Mindhunters, until a tragic end to one case shattered Risa's confidence and drove her into seclusion. But for Risa, there's no hiding from death - or from her dreams.

Oh No John
Another cracking thriller in this series, perfectly narrated. No knickers off in Chapter 1, which allows a proper plot to develop and tease and thrill and not be stunted by continued porn episodes. Good MCs. Didn't guess the perp. VERY ENJOYABLE

It's a so, so listen
I had fairly enjoyed the other instalments in the series to varying degrees, but this effort seemed a little stale to me. It feels as if the writer is just rehashing the same thing over and over again. Another strong but flawed investigator as the main protagonist. Of course she is a borderline genius, she's incredibly beautiful and has a dark past that haunts her... same, same. I am not sure why Brant feels the need to have a different investigator in every book, since they are pretty much all the exact same character. Guess what? yes, she falls in love with the initially reluctant cop that she is working alongside... shock!!!
Even the murder plot in this one feels like Brant has run out of steam. Nothing original and nothing surprising. I felt a little let down.
All that said, it is still entirely listenable, so it's not as if it is bad... just feels like we've been here before.
Pinchot does a good job as narrator, which is the only reason I gave it 3 stars.

After the first in the series I was disappointed not to have the same characters continue however as they pop up in other books it ok now! Getting to know the whole firm is fab enjoying the series immensely.

Whiplash
I'm enjoying these books so far , narrator is improving book by book . story is ok and each book has its own storyline . My main issue with these books is the narration , I am constantly having to go back 30 seconds as there is no pause or adjustment inbetween characters or chapters and I keep loosing the thread of what is happening . Either the author or narrator needs to somehow highlight that another character is talking either by just pausing or even naming who is now speaking . I have downloaded the first few books on audible plus so happy enough but had I paid for them I doubt I would have gone past book 1 .

Good plot
Enjoyed the plot but the narrator’s no pausing in between chapters was hugely confusing and annoying.

psychic aspects not my🍨
Another book in the mind hunters series - like the others it’s well read/performed and has a satisfying story line. Not quite so much soft-ish porn (only had to skip half a chapter) and all the better for it. I am getting a little bored by the predictable romantic story arc (ultra -beautiful, physically fit lead characters who start off in conflict and who end-up on the way up the aisle). As a scientist who loves evidence and data, I found the psychic intuition aspect of the story irritating and unbelievable. Just my preference — and the book WAS free!!

Love and murder rolled into one
The plot is good (if somewhat far fetched) and the main protagonists are interesting people with their own quirks. The love interest is fairly predictable. We find out a little more about Adam Raiker, setting us up for the next book. This is a stand-alone book but number 5 in the Mindhunter series.
