Summary

An uninvited guest…a deadly secret...and a terrible crime.

When a well-loved family of five are found dead sitting around their dining table with an untouched meal in front of them, it sends shockwaves throughout the community.

Was it a murder suicide, or was someone else involved? It's one of DCI Whitney Walker's most baffling cases, and even with the help of forensic psychologist Dr. Georgina Cavendish, they struggle to find any clues or motives to help them catch the killer.

But with a community in mourning and growing pressure to get answers, Cavendish and Walker are forced to go deeper into a murderer's mind than they've ever gone before.

Includes a special note from the author.

Really enjoyed this book

Another great installment from Whitney and George. I enjoyed this book very much and the storyline kept me guessing almost to the end.

Kept me listening

I enjoy this series of books. They are very short compared to many other series I listen to in the crime genre but they are easy to listen to especially when I’m driving on long journeys for work. There isn’t much character development, emotional depth or complexity but the stories are entertaining. I would enjoy them more if the author really understood and got into the psychology of why criminals commit the crimes. The explanations and motives are very much simplified. Also it would be nice to have a few twists and turns and maybe a more complex plot.
I do enjoy the relationship between Whitney and George but it’s not explored in any great depth.
I sometimes feel like I’m listening to an abridged book as opposed to a full length novel.

Fab but short book

Love the books but they be marked down as I feel the price should mirror how sort the books are. I could get a book twice the length for the same price.

Cavendish and Walker

A bit Enid Blyton plot and storyline. Characters not that likeable. Whitney awe full name for main character. Annoying.

What can I say .. the writing once again is perfect and how Claire Corbett does the narration .. it’s the unbeatable combination.
