Great series still enjoying but......
What did you like most about DEAD: Siege & Survival?
The writer being able to allow strong characters to pass
What did you like best about this story?
Personally i am a Willa fan but.......
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
For the first time no, i am in character burn out and i just turn off on one group 100% so i tried to break it into days but this did not work. If you want to get through these books and they are great don't do it one after other as you will get burnt out on getting into new groups and new characters. Give a week between each one but they are great.
Any additional comments?
I think this series is great, really enjoyable and do like that the writer deals with the dark side of apocalypse on many fronts. I enjoy moving around the groups and in a way like the fact strong characters are allowed to pass but with lesser characters i think i am becoming a touch tired in trying to emotionally get involved in new ones all the time, think time to just run they story but keep the main characters alive. I missed 1 character whom was killed and sorry a young girl went. Overall the book was great but i need a little break as if you listen book after book with the sped of character changes you can't keep investing in them. When i finished the book i realise i knew all groups and what they were doing but oh yes there is a group in the UK near the M4 but i have no idea what their names are or what happened them in the book...... I will have a few weeks off before next book as things change in these books fast and you can become not attached to new people... There is a twist coming with the child zombies and looking forward where that is going.....

I greatly enjoy this author and this series
First thoughts about the cover of Dead Siege & Survival by TW Brown? Zombies children! The zombie children are creepy and very eerie. I absolutely love the feel and flavor of both innocence and horror they portray. The shot up vehicles in the background and the random shambling zombies give the over all flow an even creepier vibe.
There seems to be a few main characters in this story. They alternate every third chapter. My favorite is Vix Kirkpatrick in this story. I love that she’s sassy and not afraid to say what she’s thinking. It’s also a plus that this ‘character’ has read lots of zombie stories so she is ahead of the game on staying alive.
I greatly enjoy this author and this series. This books would be a little hard to get into the storyline if you picked this book up without reading the other four first though. Not that it couldn’t stand alone, it could. But there is so much back story already filled in with the first four that the reader would loose if he/she didn’t read the others before this one. An example being Steve’s story and how he became the leader of his group. Or Kevin and how he came to be out on a run for medications during the winter when his camp/group was overtaken by Wanda Bears.
The Narrator is Andrew McFerrin. This is one of my favorite narrators. I absolutely love the way he reads a story. His accents for different characters definitely have their own accents and they do not blend together. That’s always a plus when you’re getting into a story. This book is Dead: Siege & Survival from the Dead Series, Book 5 by TW Brown. The length of this story is twelve hours and fifty minutes.
Warning – This story does have some gory and bloody scenes. Would not recommend for anyone under the age of sixteen.
This story left me wondering about the lengths people will go for family and friends. How much loyalty can be bought or be taken by brute force? Is that actual loyalty, or is it greed and fear? At what point do people stop caring about what they can get from a situation, about the consequences from their actions, if they stop being ‘loyal’ to those that bought their loyalty by hook or crook?

Great continuation of the story
If you could sum up DEAD: Siege & Survival in three words, what would they be?
I want more :)
What did you like best about this story?
I always love Steve & Kevin's story. I think these books could be about them alone and they'd be just as great.
Have you listened to any of Andrew McFerrin’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Yes, I've listened to the previous books in the series. He does an outstanding job!
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
No, I didn't have an extreme reaction to this book. If you've been with the series up until now, you know the style of writing and the story. So anytime there's a major loss in characters, it's unexpected, yet at the same time, it's no surprise.
Any additional comments?
Can't wait to get started on the next book in the series!

More zombie adventure
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
There were a few lines that I laughed out loud listening to - which is a testament to the narrator enjoying the written content.
"the zombie version of the stink eye"
"what- the hell- is *kuru*?"
"..was like roaches when the lights come on..."
Any additional comments?
I enjoyed the book just as much as the rest in the series. You pretty much know by this point in the series if you're going to like the story lines and I do. I still like Steve and Kevin's story lines best.
I smiled at the mention of Mark Tufo, another great zombie series to check out, books on the shelf of a zombie fanatics' book shelf. It was fun to see the shout out.
At this point I'll keep listening as long as there are books in the series to listen to. I've grown to really appreciate the narrator for this series.
Highly enjoyable, good zombie adventure fun -- and occasionally a curve ball where people that we "know" die- which not every author does too often.
Definitely worth checking out the series! It starts with Dead: The Ugly Beginning.

Yes I like it
What didn’t you like about Andrew McFerrin’s performance?
I think his female voices and accents are horrid
Do you think DEAD: Siege & Survival needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
Yes it ends in a cliff hanger

Keep bringing on the DEAD!
I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
This is another great continuation of the zombie apocalypse story. The narrator continues to be FANTASTIC! Seriously, Andrew McFerrin really is a great narrator. We continue to follow several groups from the previous books. Like with the walking dead series, you get some new characters in this one. To me, this helps keep things interesting. Another great installment in the series.

amazing addition to series
T W Brown's Dead:Siege & Survival is the fifth book in a series about a zombie apocalypse and different perspectives of it. It continues in same style as the other books by giving the reader multiple perspectives of the going ons. I was feeling pretty emotional during this book. I'm still addicted and cant wait to read next installment.
Narrator does a fantastic job bringing the story to life. Really brought the characters' personalities out. Love it!
