Summary

Samuel Todd is a regular guy: ...Failed husband... ...Loving father... ...Dutiful worker... ...Aspiring rockstar. He had no idea if anyone would care, or take the time, to read his daily blog entries about his late night observations. But what started as an open monologue of his day-to-day life became a running journal of the firsthand account detailing the rising of the dead and the downfall and degradation of mankind...

The Zomblog series continues in Zomblog II; Zomblog: The Final Entry and Zomblog: Snoe..

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC..you must try it.!

What did you like most about Zomblog?

I liked the blog form, and I adored the characters. The story itself is really brilliant. I love the way the world has went, and I love the zombies. They are totally believable.I love how it starts as an online blog..to a journal on the run.And mostly I love when the journal is passed to Meredith...!!

Who was your favorite character and why?

My favourite character is Meredith, because she's a really good survivor..!Sam is a really good guy, he's like a hero because he helps whoever he can..but being a good guy doesn't always get you far..!all the characters are brilliant, even the not_so_nice_ones

Have you listened to any of Erik Bryon and Emily Dane ’s other performances? How does this one compare?

No, I haven't..yet. (I've listen to snoe audio..narrated by Laura stahl)But I have read the books, which is why I will be even more excited when I get the next audio..!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes, but it would be a spoiler if I said exactly what. I will jus say I was crying...for real crying..

Any additional comments?

This is one of the best zombie reads/ listens Ever. It's well written, extremely well thought, and I doubt any other author could really touch the heart of readers, as t w Brown does.I have to say that this audio was FAR FROM BORING..and the blog form works a treat. This story is far from a "cliche" (as someone has said)If having read anything like it before..it's amazing

😎👍

Loved it ... I like the details explained for every situation ... this would be better then walking dead if turned into a TV show ... not network though HBO or showtime ... better yet Netflix

Story seemed to be good...

Audio quality was VERY bad as the story progressed... Over sampling/dubbing/bad edit-jobs that really made the story hard to follow and understand (and maybe more importantly ruin the climatic building of certain spots)... It started off with only being slightly the case, but from halfway to the end it was too much to forgive... I hope the next installment can get the production quality enhanced or I will have to quit the series... I love TW Brown, too!! It's a shame the recording was as bad as it was...

OK, won't read it again

Drove me crazy. Please learn to pronounce city's and landmarks in the PNW correctly!
I'm a native Oregonian and it was horrible to hear someone butcher our city's and landmarks through out an entire 8 hour book.

One of the BEST zombie books.

Would you consider the audio edition of Zomblog to be better than the print version?

About the same. The upside to the audio is hands & eyes free!

Who was your favorite character and why?

Sam is my favorite. Sam's an awesome man & tries his hardest to help others.

Which scene was your favorite?

The scene where Sam & them save Meredith. It is both the best and the worst scene in the book. I say worst because you have an instant "Oh god no!" moment.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The scene right before Meredith takes over writing. I had tears streaming down my face.

Any additional comments?

This is one of my favorite books.

Semi-interesting!

A journal-style zombie apocalypse yarn. A semi-interesting start to a series. The narration by Erik Byron is not terrible but it could use some personality for impact. Character background is lacking but perhaps it doesn’t matter since they don’t hang around long. I hope book two improves on these negatives. Three.point.five for potential.

Awesome

I got a membership with Audible just to have the book on audiobook form, I like everything about the story, narrators, I love that it starts in my home state of Oregon, and I honestly would want to go Zombie when my time came, I'd stick to the Stoners ,get my high pothead.😉

Took a min to get used to the format

I haven't listened to a book before that was broken up like this. I am not really a blog reader so it took me a little bit to get used to it, but once I did I liked it. get the action scenes without getting all the "boring" in-between. although I am a fan of the "boring" parts in books too :) there are times I had to go back and relisten because I felt I was missing something every now and then, but I really enjoyed the book!

Exactly how it should sound

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I've read the book on my Kindle and decided to give the audio book a shot. I love how the story is set up in a journal format. It gives you a sense of following along in each day along with the characters. I have also found that is easier to pause at these breaks if you need to run off and do things in the mean time.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Of course the main character Sam was my favorite. A regular Joe who does the best he can despite the world crashing down around him. He is still able to keep his humor and good wits even when his life is in constant danger. A good-guy in a world gone mad.

Have you listened to any of Erik Bryon and Emily Dane ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I am new to the audio book land and have not had the pleasure to hear many voices I could comment on besides this one. Boy was I delighted when I heard the reader's voice. It was exactly how I imagined Sam to be. Boy next door living a plain but fulfilling life; until the zombies. He is down to earth and has the right amount of hesitation and inflection in his voice. Erik makes the story believable and attractive.

Who was the most memorable character of Zomblog, Book 1 and why?

The Journal was the constant character in this story. It was amazing how it survived all of the abuse of travelling and I am quite surprised that it was able to continue on even when its original author could not complete it.

Any additional comments?

I really did like the narration. I think T.W. Brown picked a great reader and hope I get to hear him again soon. This is the first audio book I have been able to sit through. Many others have irked me by some of the voice changes and proved to be a turn off. Erik Byon did a good job!

needed an editor. I'm not thrilled with either's ability.

Who was the most memorable character of Zomblog, Book 1 and why?
