Summary

The Curse of the Alpha series:

Ainsley Connor is determined to turn her back on her shifter past.

But the wolves of Tarker's Hollow call on her to choose the next alpha, and Ainsley becomes the object of desire for every eligible wolf in the quiet college town.

Surrounded by seductive shifters, all desperate to claim her, Ainsley wants nothing more than to leave the pack behind forever. But her newfound passions will not be ignored.

Ainsley soon finds herself torn between the mysterious stranger with the dark secret, the gorgeous and loyal friend from her past, and the hunky sheriff that wants her all to himself.

And the shifters aren't even the strangest part of Tarker's Hollow.

As she struggles to come to terms with her true nature, Ainsley is thrust into the center of a steamy web of shifters, ghosts, witches and warlocks, caught up in a life-and-death struggle for control of the pack she tried to abandon.

But for Ainsley Connor, the toughest wolf she must face might just be the one inside herself.

A continuing story:

Curse of the Alpha is told in six installments, or episodes, like a TV show. Each episode contains a cliffhanger to entice the listener to tune in for the next one. If you're not a fan of the serial format, all six episodes are also available in a complete bundle!

In Episode 5:

Ainsley makes a powerful enemy. Mysteries are solved and secrets uncovered. How will the pack react when the new alpha is drawn?

In Episode 6:

Ainsley must master her true nature to bring balance to the pack. Will she be able to harness her powers in time to defend the ones she loves?

Brilliant. I loved it!

If you could sum up Curse of the Alpha: Episodes 5 & 6: A Tarker's Hollow Serial in three words, what would they be?

Exciting, suspenseful, riveting.

Who was your favorite character and why?

The book is jam packed with really great characters. Each brought their own unique quirkiness and personality traits that endeared them all to me immensely. Grace was a good and loyal, magical friend to have around. Cressida wasn't afraid to speak her mind. I loved Eric. He's smart, smoking hot, protective and kind. Ainsley's internal monologues were funny and made great entertainment. I liked Ainsley's character the best, probably because she was the lead character and the story revolved around her.

What does Addison Spear bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

Addison Spear brings atmosphere to the story through her tone of voice and expression.
There was a certain sense of poignancy surrounding the story of Brian that came across very clearly through Addison's performance and I found this very moving. Although the writing would not have been different had I read the book instead of listening to the audio version, my reading of it most certainly would have been at a much quicker pace therefore losing this emotion in the process. The narration slows it all down, allowing the listener to absorb the images and emotions, the story depicts, more intensely.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes definitely. I wanted to listen to all episodes 1-6 seamlessly and without interruption.
