Summary
I want more than a chance. I want you. And I won't take "No" for an answer.
Cats are always supposed to land on their feet, but omega shifter Jesse has done everything but that. After escaping the mental institute he's been held in most of his life, he ends up stranded with a broken leg.
On the trail of an arsonist, alpha wolf Asher Lambert stumbles across a wounded omega guarded by a scarred grizzly shifter who says they were waiting for him. Asher takes them both home, figuring the least he can do is help Jesse get on his feet, literally and figuratively.
Can Asher break away from the known and risk starting a new pack with his mate, his ragtag group of friends, and the silent bear who just won't leave?
Freedom for His Omega is the first audiobook in the Outcast Chronicles. It contains mpreg and knotting.

bring the story to life.
I really enjoyed the book and listening to it just make it that much better. It took me awhile to get use to ashers voice but once I did i really enjoyed it. I think Kenneth Obi did a fantastic job.

Starts nice, the MPREG aspect just feels off
It is a bit of a shame, I liked the start, the setup for the characters and the building up of the overall relationship with the team. But it just did not work for me once the pregnancy part came in. It just seemed too easy, no real explanation or setup (are we by now supposed to take male pregnancy in shifter stories just as a given?) and the dynamic did just feel a bit too much like a straight relationship.
I think you could have turned Jessy into a woman without pretty much anything but pronouns and such having to be switched out. I do think there should be more of an effort to work with the differences.
The story also could have used more tension in the second half. Jesse has just run off, it would have been nice to play a bit with things such as people looking for him and thus allowing for scenes where Asher could protect him from that.
The authors are not writing badly, so I really think it feel flat of its overall potential.
The narration was very good though, I shall definitely look for more books narrated by Kenneth Obi.

Enjoyable
I got this audio because I really enjoy alpha/omega stories and Kenneth Obi as a narrator. I liked this story. Flowed pretty well. Just wish it was longer, but I wish all books are

such an amazing variety of voices
loved the variety of voices, really brought the characters to life. I checked at one point to see if there was more than narrator. I'm loving hearing these books come to life, makes walks much more entertaining.

Really good! Thoroughly enjoyed it :)
I am now getting into alpha/omega stories, because so far, they've been very good and this is story is no exception.
Jessie is sweetheart, but with a bit of sass in him; while Asher is more the strong, stoic type. They make a really good couple.
This is the start to a series that I see myself continuing, more so if there will be audiobooks narrated by Kenneth Obi.
The narration was very good. I've listened to Mr. Obi before and thought he was OK. In this book I thought he was really, really good. He had different voices for each of the characters, complete with a Tennessee twang(?) (I'm a Brit ex-pat, so not sure how authentic, but sounded great to me).
Definitely recommend!

Perfection
I own this book and have read it several times. When I saw it was.out in audio it made my day!!. This was my first book that I have listened to that was narrated by Kenneth Obi and he is now one of my favorites. I love the fact that when you listen to him narrating you are actually able to distinguish between the characters and it's not just a monotone mess!!
The book itself is wonderful. Almost a May/ December romance (but not quite). definitely an awesome beginning to a series that is a mix of romance, mpreg, mystery(ish), & shifters. Highly recommend!!!!

Awww...Casper
Can I say that I hope grumpy bear Casper finds a mate? I loved him from the moment he collected the blueberries. So well done and I enjoyed listening to it.
