Thoroughly impressed so far!

What made the experience of listening to Alpha Wolf's Pet, Hidden the most enjoyable?

Not too long, not too short... but the author was able to write a story that was descriptive and built a wonderful world of wolves in your mind. I really liked the different directions the story took so you didn't know where it would eventually wind up.

Meghan Kelly did a superb job of narrating the story and giving the characters depth. Narrators can make or break an audio book.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Mia, she's so spunky and relatable.

Which scene was your favorite?

Mia with the axe. Go on with your bad self!!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Let me make you mine....Pet.

Great Paranormal!

This is a great book; this is the first book in The Alpha Wolf’s Pet series written by Eva Gordon and narrated by Meghan Kelly. Mia had to enter witness protection program after her testimony against Russian mobsters. She was relocated to a quaint cottage in Wolf Woods, near Mt. Rainier. There she meets Dominic, the handsome owner of the mysterious Wolfe Estate. Dominic Wolfe, is an alpha werewolf and is the packs enforcer. When he meets Mia he starts thinking that they may be meant to be together.

The narrator Meghan Kelly, did a wonderful job, and was very easy to listen too. I have enjoyed very book that I have enjoyed every book that I have listened to by this narrator. She did a great job with the different characters and their voices.

This book has a great story; if you are looking for a great paranormal romance, then you need to get this book. I am looking forward to the next book in this series. Once I started listening to this book, I didn’t want to stop until the end.

a great start...

I really liked this story and the narrator as well.
loved the voices she made and her accent.
the author has given us a short story, funny sexy and very promising.
can't wait for more.

Mia and Dominic

This was a great story and nice start to the Alpha Wolf's Pet series. This is the second Ava Gordon book I have listened to and I enjoy her writing style. Meghan Kelly did a great job with the narration. I received this free copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

BIG BAD WOLF

l have just finished and can't wait to listen to book 2 as the storyline really was so interesting, dramatic and sexy. l really liked Mia, she comes acoss so down to earth and lovely. l'm dying to know what happens with the bad guys and the little puppy.
Good fun and steamy.

Totally Hooked on Alpha Wolf

Would you consider the audio edition of Alpha Wolf's Pet, Hidden to be better than the print version?

I like both, but I will say that listening brought the characters to life.

Yes and I did.

I am now a huge fan of Eva Gordon. I was first introduced with Eva's writing when I volunteered to listen to her newest series on audible, Team Grey Wolf Series. I started over wanting the background with Mia and Dominic so I picked up book 1. This is an exciting suspenseful story that kept me on my toes. I also had the narrative to read along with the story. The narrator was fantastic in bringing the characters more to life. The attraction that Mia and Dominic have is electrifying and down right explosive. Dominic has the complete Alpha protection for Mia and as she learns how much her life has changed not just due to her new life in hiding, but what Dominic has in store for her, keeps you engaged to the very end.

Potentially good book

What did you like best about Alpha Wolf's Pet, Hidden? What did you like least?

I liked the potential of the book for its plot of a woman who is in witness protection and how she meets the Alpha wolf shifter in her back yard. I was put off a bit by the nonsensical "love" scenes that feel as if they were the main plot and not just a part of it. There was a great deal of repetition of their graphic thoughts. It could have been much better with more plot and less needless sex details.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

The main theme of the accomplished woman turned witness was a good start as well as the were enforcer and his duties. I'm all for the romance angle but I felt more exploration of each of their stories and the logistics of them being together was a wasted opportunity.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

The narration could have been better.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

If it were more girl meets Alpha wolf and less fifty shades of wolf, then yes.

Great Story!

Where does Alpha Wolf's Pet, Hidden rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

First, a disclosure: I haven't listened to very many audiobooks yet (only 3 so far). I loved the story's unique take on Werewolf culture, and the characters were engaging, but the narrator's performance left me a little wanting. She did an excellent job when the characters were speaking or interacting with each other, but when she was merely describing the action or providing more "narrative" information, it seemed like she spoke very, very fast, like she was in a rush to get through. I would have enjoyed those passages a lot more if she would have set a more relaxed pace

Who was your favorite character and why?

Definitely Mia. Although Dom is sexy and alluring, and I like the loyalty of his Betas, Mia's spunk and spirit make her the winner for me. I mean, what average woman takes on the mob!

What aspect of Meghan Kelly’s performance would you have changed?

Slow down the pace over the more descriptive passages. They felt so rushed. (See my intro comments for more.)

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I could imagine Mia's pain when the rogue wolf smashed her cello, her momento from her late mother.

I am looking forward to more in this series. Even with my minor criticism of the narration, I really enjoyed and would recommend this audiobook. It is well worth the listen.

This is the first book I've read (listened to) by Eva Gordon. I have to say that at first, I was a little... unsure about this one. It was a little rushed in parts and slow in others. However, it got a little better for me.

This is a little different than any other "shifter" book I have in my library. It's good, complete even if there were times I thought it was a little slow or moving too fast. That could just be me. The heat factor in this one gave me pause too. I am not usually into 'erotica' books, though this particular one wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I must say everything that was spelled out in this book was well done. And I am liking Mia, now. I wanted to clobber her one a few times but that is not a bad thing.

Mia is running from the Mob. Not just any mob, the Russian mob. Talk about a bad, bad thing. the Mob sucks all kinds of monkey balls. Hidden as she is, Mia is not safe from all the bad men in the woods, aka the wolves she is unaware of. Dominick, hot, young, dominate wolf in charge of punishment. Once Dominic finds out she is in the Witness Protection Program his instincts to protect the pretty little human. There is something special about her, but he's not sure what. Dominick wants her to be his Pet. But then there is more to them all.

With the work he does at his facility, his home of all places Mia becomes suspicious of things she hears and sees now. To add insult to injury, the King of all wolves has sent him a wolf to work with.. but it's a case that puts them all on edge.

It all comes to head when an out of control werewolf takes Mia. Not just any crazy wolf, he happens to be the Prince of all wolves. Dominic must save her.... or she will become a snack for the crazy wolf. But does it end there? Or is there more?
