Summary

From USA Today best seller Ella James

After that close-up of his package on the sailboat in Morocco, TMZ started calling him Crown Jewels.

Not that I keep track of Prince Liam. Definitely don’t stalk him online like my friends do.

I’m out of that scene now. My family’s reality show might still be running, but I’ve been off-screen for a while. When people pass me on the sidewalk, they might squint, but most of them don’t scream “Lucy Rhodes” and ask about my love of Lucky Charms or how my broken toe healed.

Prince Liam - my stalking his Instagram - that’s just for fun. It’s my dirty little secret. Trust me, I’m the only woman in the world who doesn’t actually want him.

Except I’m back in the Hamptons for the first time in two years. I’m at a party, and Prince Manwhore is here as well. I tell myself that smile has no effect on me. That his ridiculous charisma is a parlor trick I see right through.

After our one night together, no one knows that I succumbed.

It doesn’t matter. It meant nothing.

Not until I see those two pink lines.

Good mystery throughout...

I like the overall of this book. The mystery that followed Liam is what kept me moving forward. But the snobbery of it all annoyed me at times, guess cuz I’m horribly average and not this high maintenance lol. So some of it was a bit eyeroll-y. But the story itself was great. The way Liam and Lucy just sparked and seemed to have trouble fighting the attraction to the other. It wasn’t boy chase girl or girl pining for guy. They both wanted. But they both had a bit of history that was clogging the pathways. EJ did great with Liam he’s an alpha and attractively arrogant and of course regal and handsome. He was also very honest outside of his one secret and he was very tender and affectionate. Lucy was a bit of a back and forth. She did have two vastly different personas. One during her time in the lime light and then her more normal low key life. So throughout the book she swings in and out of both. It made her unique. Lucy was also silly and funny and blushingly brave. I loved how Liam responded to the news. While Lucy was dithering on when to tell I was dreading his blowup and accusations. Sorry bit of spoiler. The conclusion of the Liam mystery was both good and bad. The truth was not what I saw coming so that was good, I was surprised. But the conclusion of it was rather speedy and not as detailed as the rest of the story. I would have enjoyed it to feel just as detailed as what came before. JFH did an awesome sexy accent for Lima and him & AV’s tones compliment one another very well.

Just ok

I thought the story had potential but it fell flat for me. Didn’t get the feels from this story at all. I finished it but fell asleep listening and had no desire to go back to hear the several hours I missed. Not sure if I will continue this series.

Crown Jewels is Right!

This Audible book was a hidden jewel. It was so well rounded. It introduced the characters and their backgrounds, had the amazing chance encounter b/w the leads, hot sex scenes, then the awkward day after a one night stand. It has royalty and celebrity fame, good friends, as well as paparazzi and crazy ex's and evil villains. The romance mixed well with the mystery and suspends. There was a while when I felt It may be dragging a bit and I just wanted her to get there and spit It out lol but It helped you fall in love with the foreign lands and get to know more about them. It also throws in my favorite accidental pregnancy and HEA. Definitely worth a listen if a good storyline, steamy romance and LOVE is your go to fantasy novel😍

P.S as far as narration goes, it's a dual POV narration that honestly would have been perfect if only the female narrator read it. She was awesome all the way through. Though I loved the male narrators voice for Liam, he struggled a little with Lucy. There were times the male narrator would make her sound whiny when dispite all she's been through she is actually strong and independent just unlucky in love. There was also this weird southern accent he tried to give her that bugged me sometimes but the story was good enough for me to keep listening. He also made her whisper which only made the accent worse but like I said it was easy to over look. Enjoy!

Grey was an unexpected surprise!

3.5 Stars! There was an element of mystery to Prince Liam and Lucy even though they both lived in the public eye. Everyone has Prince Liam labeled as a playboy but throughout the story you find that there is more to him than meets the eye. Then you have Lucy who choose to hide away from the public eye and live her life. I thought that the two were good together. They dealt with the hand that they were dealt and built a relationship. They were able to help each other through dealing with their internal problems. Overall I thought that this was a good story!

Sweet

Little weird at first. Didn’t understand what the Rhodes of Concord was. Maybe it was better described in a previous book. First time mentioning Liam in this book was very weird and Lucy and Liams interaction afterwards was also weird because of Liam’s actions before him and Lucy met up. After all that it got a little better. I was able to understand their relationship and put things into perspective for me so I can make sense of the book. All in all it was a sweet book with a couple of twists towards the end I wasn’t expecting. I would definitely recommend this.

Really good

That was a really good enjoyable listen. The voices were superb. The story with the twist was very interesting. Kept me intrigued to the end. Really thought the blackmail was something else. Highly recommend for a great listen!

Yes! This is a keeper! ❤️❤️

I go thru a lot of book and various authors. I hear the same story line over and over again. I’m alway entertained unless the readers are dreadful. This one was unique , I absolutely loved the readers and the Scottish accent! Something entirely new! To say I was entertained would be an injustice! I travels, and enjoyed every minute of it! Yes with the credit, loved the characters! I will come back to this one again. Thanks !

Excellent!

I am tired of the same romantic storylines spitting out the same story but this one captivated me from the beginning. I have listened to so many that have wasted my time. This is my 2nd book I've listened to by this author and I am quite impressed!! I am looking forward to the next one! Not only was the storyline excellent but the narration by the Male amd female also kept me listening! Bravo!!

Enjoyable

This was my first book from this author and I enjoyed it. I don't know if I'll bother to read the other books in the series, but I did enjoy this one.
