About this listen
In deepest space the ruthless Federation lays waste to one rebel colony after another, leaving comrades-in-arms Van Orskey and Tayn Kassik without family, without a home, and without hope.
With nothing left but each other, they run contraband and smuggle fugitives from the safety of their ship, the Cormorant - with the occasional clandestine mission for the rival Coalition thrown in. Their heists have not gone unnoticed, though even the bounty on their heads doesn’t prevent them from being a thorn in the enemy’s side at every opportunity.
Pissing them off? Big mistake.
From the day of his birth Prince Jorvik of Akiak learned duty, wisdom, and honor from his father, leaving him ill-equipped to withstand betrayal by his Federation-puppet uncle. He has no love for the greedy off-worlders who plunder his world’s natural resources and enslave his people. To defeat his foe, he needs the cunning, fearlessness, and touch of treachery only outlaws can offer.
Two off-world mercenaries make unlikely partners in Jorvik’s quest for vengeance, but the more he learns of them, the more common ground he discovers. In each other’s arms they find passion, heat, and maybe, a reason for living - until their common enemy threatens to tear them apart.
To survive, they must take on the corrupt Federation.
And win.
A standalone novel based in The Sentinel universe.

Amazing SciFi MMM Adventure
Consorts of the Red King is a complete departure from Eden Winters previous Diversion Books, with her leaving Earth and the Southeastern Narcotics Bureau, and traveling into deepest space where we meet Van and Tayn mercenaries working against the Federation.
Van and Tayn are friends and sometimes lovers who also share lovers but have never declared their love for each other, afraid, maybe to tip the status quo.
When the unthinkable happens after their ship is boarded, Van takes a job which brings them to the planet Akiak and it’s Prince Jorvik and the three men’s lives will become connected in ways they never imagined.
Consorts of the Red King was an enjoyable book, very well written with excellent world building and character development.
Although this is a ménage, it isn’t you’re typical ménage. Without going into detail and giving out spoilers you will understand as the story unfolds, it’s very clever.
Darcy Stark did a stellar job in the narration of this audiobook, there are numerous characters and you can very easily determine each and everyone. Well done 👏👏👏

Great narration from Darcy...
Well narrated by the very talented Darcy Stark; in addition to his usual mix of accents, he also included a decent British accent for #14 from The Sentinel and Irish for Connall. As far as the story is concerned, there was too much sex for me, which is in direct contrast really to Eden's Diversion series starring Lucky and Bo...it wasn't bad, I just thought all the sex derailed the story sometimes. Have to agree though that the cover is pretty awful 😕. 4.25 stars.
