Jin Rou wanted to be a cultivator. A man powerful enough to defy the heavens. A master of martial arts. A lord of spiritual power. Unfortunately for him, he died, and now I’m stuck in his body. Arrogant Masters? Heavenly Tribulations? All that violence and bloodshed? Yeah, no thanks. I’m getting out of here. Farm life sounds pretty great. Tilling a field by hand is fun when you’ve got the strength of ten men—though maybe I shouldn’t have fed those Spirit Herbs to my pet rooster.

Awesome ride!
Starts off right where we left off! More expansive world filled with new enemies. Of course there are aliens and they are hell bent of the destruction of earth. Now with Shaun in the mix things get all crazy quick. Pretty much the same insanity as the last book yet with a cool new powers! Wonderful fun book!

Even better
This book was even better than the first! It’s not as crunchy with the stats as book 1 or others in the genre, but that’s never been make-or-break for me in. What draws me in is an enjoyable & fun story & this was 1 for sure. I’m also a huge fan of when a narrator does distinct voices for all the characters & Christian knocked it out of the park!

Great storyline, ok characters
Pro's:
-Very Unique Storyline. This story is entirely different from even the first book, but feeds off it well.
-Moves very quickly and is very rarely dull. The books are fairly short, so the author uses very quick pacing with almost no filler to keep you engaged.
-Keeps a unique stat system even outside of game which i would love to see developed more.
- MC keeps their belief system in tact.
- Narrator does a good job of managing all voices in the story.
- I enjoy that both MC's always give randoms a chance to join and don't try to just kill everything in site.
Cons (imo)
- Dialogue between characters is like a 19 year old frat boy. Needless cussing throughout makes it hard to actually enjoy listening to the MC or to his partners.
- We travel to different planets and are in many different locations but i find very little detail of the ships or planets and can't really picture any of them or the characters/aliens.
- Although unique stats, they are really not used a lot in the book.
- The entire game world in the first book is not important at all to this story.
- Might be the luckiest MC I've read about, with very little to do with smarts or skills on his part.

I liked the first book, but book 2 keeps impressing me. Not enough space-based Gamelit, and I like how Shaun’s abilities and companions rounded out the story. Definitely on to book 3!!
