Summary

This is the story of a chicken named Chris, a survivor of a near-death experience. Because he barely survives, Chris thinks all hope is lost. But when least expecting it, he finds a newly discovered hope in his proverbial darkness.

Chris accidently meets a little boy named Eugene - Gene for short. The power of language, and its means of bringing these two together, allows for the overcoming of trauma - which ultimately allows Chis to see the scenic wonder of life! Slowly but surely, Chris and Eugene develop a buoyant bond that allays the other's darkness!

This is the story of Chris the Chicken.
