About this listen

Are you struggling with attention problems, mood swings, food obsession, or depression? Whatever the issue, you have far more control than you realize. In Change Your Diet, Change Your Mind, Dr Georgia Ede reveals that the most powerful way to change brain chemistry is with food - because that's where brain chemicals come from in the first place.

In this provocative, illuminating guide, Dr Ede explains why nearly everything we think we know about brain-healthy diets is wrong. The truth is that meat is not dangerous, vegan diets are not healthier, and antioxidants are not the answer. Change Your Diet, Change Your Mind will empower you to:

- Understand how unscientific research drives fickle news headlines and dietary guidance

- Evaluate yourself for signs of insulin resistance - the silent metabolic disease that robs your brain of energy

- Improve your mental health with a personalized plan to suit your own food preferences and health goals

Drawing on a wide range of scientific disciplines, including biochemistry, neuroscience, and botany, Dr Ede will ignite your curiosity about the fascinating world of food and its role in nourishing, protecting, and energizing your brain.

Revolutionary

Absolutely revolutionary information delivered in a very understandable way. Sources along the way if you want to look up the information given to you, as a lot of information here is in conflict with common practice.

I’ve used the information to heal myself and others. It works.

Brilliant book but beware!

I really loved this book but the essential accompanying PDF is missing quite a lot of the information the author mentions. Looking at her website, she is aware of the problem and is hoping the publisher will resolve this but at the moment I am missing some really key information - like what food to include in each of the three diet options. These vary in some respects from other iterations of paleo/keto/carnivore so I’m not sure I would recommend the Audible version until the PDF has been corrected.

A Must-Read on Nutrition and Mental Health

I picked up this book on a whim after seeing Dr. Ede in a YouTube interview. Having read numerous diet books based on the keto principle, this one stands out as extremely well-researched and, most importantly, supported by ample scientific evidence. Dr. Ede narrates the book beautifully, incorporating numerous witticisms and comments throughout that are genuinely humorous and often left me in fits of laughter.

This book has truly turned my views on nutrition upside down, and it will take me some time to mentally digest its contents. While the primary theme focuses on mental health, I believe most people would benefit from reading this book, especially considering Dr. Ede's critique of the "abomination that is the Standard American Diet." Look around and you can see so may people suffering from its consequences, makes me feel this book could be eye-opening for many. Well done Dr Ede!

This book changed my diet and my mind

This book is both compelling and convincing. Thank you for your willingness to see the world differently and to tell what is likely still an inconvenient truth in many circles, especially medicine and psychiatry.

Fantastic bible of all things metabolic

This isn’t just the best book about mental health it’s the best book about metabolic health or health in general. Scientific explanations were so clear and help picture physiology in an appreciable way.

Amazing information on food and brain health

Loved the whole book. I am not a doctor, scientist or clinician. I am a normal everyday gal who is fascinated by how profoundly food affects us. For me, this book wasn’t too sciency. I am going to re-listen to it because it is so interesting and hope to share with my family and friends the information vital to our overall medicated, over deliverood, undernourished population.
