Summary

Three brilliantly funny stories from the best-selling author David Baddiel.

The Person Controller

Fred and Ellie are twins. But not identical (because that's impossible for a boy and a girl). They do like all the same things, though. Especially video games. Which they are very good at. They aren't that good, however, at much else—like, for example, football, or dealing with the school bullies.

Then, they meet the Mystery Man, who sends them a video game controller, which doesn't look like any other controller they've ever seen. And it doesn't control any of their usual games. When the twins find out what it does control, though, it seems like the answer to all their problems. And the key to all their wildest dreams. At least it seems like that….

Birthday Boy

This is the story of Sam Green, who really, really, really loves birthdays. He loves the special breakfasts in bed. The presents. The themed parties. Blowing out the candles on his cake. Everything.

He is so excited about his 11th birthday, in fact, that he wishes it was his birthday every day.

So, at first, it’s quite exciting when his birthday happens again the next morning. And again. And again. And again….

But it’s not long before things start to go wrong. Soon, disaster strikes, threatening something Sam loves even more than birthdays.

Sometimes you have to be careful what you wish for….

Future Friend

The year is 3020.

Pip@256X#YY.3_7 is lonely and bored: she goes to virtual school on her G-Glasses, she only has a talking cat and parrot to hang out with and she can’t even leave her LivingSpace due to the extreme heat and floods outside.

Until the day that Pip explores a glowing ring in a lab and finds herself in a warehouse, in 2019.

Where she meets boy-inventor Rahul—who is also lonely and bored.

Together, Rahul and Pip are no longer lonely. But they have a whole load of new problems, including hiding talking animals from Rahul’s parents, and finding a way back to the future.

Plus—just maybe—saving the world….

!!!!👍😜😮!!!!

This is really good!!🙂 And great value if a credit…so much better then those 1 hr ones and really gets you hooked😉. However, I would have liked titles to be added to separate stories😏 (but not urgent as it was still pretty clear) 👍I loved the sound effects…so different to a normal story and David Baddiel has such great humour🤪🥸…just outstanding! 🤩

OH MY GOSH I AM SPEECHLESS

I absolutely love David Baddiel. The first book of his I read was the parent agency. My school did a book swap for our world book day. I got the parent agency. When I started the book I could not put it down. I instantly fell in love with it. It made me buy more off his books. I got future friend and yet again I instantly fell in love with it. Now I have been getting some of my favourite books of his and new ones on audible. This is why I would recommend this to thrilling rollercoaster adventure loving books worms. I gave it a⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ five star rating because of the quality of the books and the sound affect and effects of the performance.

Wonderful!

The person controller
I thought this book was interesting yet perhaps a little bit you-can-guess. The story was strong and the characters were fun. At parts it could be a bit frustrating but I would still recommend trying it .

Birthday boy
This book was very imaginative and quirky. Although the main character becomes a person you care less about as the book goes on, he makes a comeback. Really I think there was only one thing I can complain about, and that was the Guinea pig. Spock himself was a fine character but the way Baddiel just kept writing "looked at him with quite a strong sense of, " then blah blah blah annoyed me. why?

Future friend
This audiobook might have been the best. Pip 2 was evil all along! I had suspected it. I really thought about the way it describes the future. I don't want it to be how it is at the beginning. Anyway, great story I fully recommend this one to ages 8-11, as it's a little complicated.

Thank you David Baddiel for the great stories! 😃✍
