Summary

The tournament begins. An uneasy peace treaty. A champion emerges.

I thought I’d get to spend a little quality time with my new, beautiful, bonded women after taking out the poacher threat, how fast things change.

With the tournament only a couple weeks away, a new visitor has arrived at the manor, and she needs my help.

I’ll need to rank up my skills to ensure I’ll pass each of the trials in my way, protect those closest to me, and more importantly, survive.

It will take the help of my amazing bonded women, a feisty goblin, and a spurned member of the royal family to take on a plethora of combatants, as well as, a king who wants me destroyed.

Cultivate. Rank. Rise.

I better get started. I’ve got monster girls to help, a manor to expand, and a tournament to win.

There's no time like the present.

Incredible second book, that is much better than the first

After the first book I was hopeful but still a little skeptical of this series, but after listening to this one, I am one hundred percent in.

Book two starts with a beautiful wolf woman who needs Logan’s help. Her father has been captured and is going to be forced to fight in the annual tournament at the Capitol.

Logan agrees to help and brings his awesome bonded women with him. It is fun to see how each of the characters grows and the personalities really begin to shine.

I love the variety of monster girls that show up and can’t wait for more.

The tournament part of the book was awesome, and had a couple twists that I was definitely not expecting.

I couldn’t stop listening. The narration is great and really helps the story come to life.

I can’t recommend this series enough, I just wish the third book was out on audio already!

fun!

Good story and narration!

the crew is back, and our intrepid MC must rescue those he cares about!

If you like the first book in the series you'll probably enjoy this one as well.

Christian and Hazel do a fantastic job with the narration!

Roller Coaster Ride

This was a fantastic book 2. I am eagerly awaiting book 3. The build up then the action had me listening straight through i couldn't stop the book. As soon as one thing would end the next would pop right up. The roller coaster of emotions this book had me going through was amazing.

Great continuation

Currently hoping the series is going to be longer than a trilogy. It's certainly enjoyable, but I don't want to have it end with only 3.

Loved it

TLDR: While book 1 was good, this book is extremely enjoyable. If you are into this genre and like the first book, you will love this one. Recommend reading.

I listened to the first book and the series and will admit it wasn't perfect. While I thought it was overall well done. I also thought the MC was a little wishy-washy and really lacked the follow through I would prefer in a protagonist.

So, in saying that, this one corrects any mistakes you may have thought from the first. It also completes some story arcs I thought missed. The MC finds his backbone and feels like a more complete character. The secondary characters feel much improved and fully fleshed out. Emotional bonds are complete and we even get to meet a sidekick beyond the love interests. Also, our MC no longer tries to be the nice guy and give the bad guys a chance, which was a major complaint I had of the last book. For spoiler reasons, I am not saying if he is successful or not but it does explain why he let one of the guys go in the last as well. Lastly, some questionable decisions by the MC in book one are explained and also given a reason in this book.

I really enjoyed listening to this book and highly recommend.

Champions never quit

Fantastic continuation of an amazing story! The fight for what is right continues and Logan has to become a champion for the people to see that fight grow stronger! When all hope is lost Logan rises above it all, with a little help of course from his ladies and those around him.

Fantastic narration duo!

Give this story a listen!

So disappointed

The book had the makings of being good. What I consider it's main issues, and is one of my biggest pet peeve, is the whole book was all about how bad it can get for the MC. The MC starts the book trying to do something nice, then he gets tricked, he gets attacked, his girls get attacked, his girls get kidnapped, his girls get kidnapped again, his girls get killed, everyone around him (including the king) goes against him, and then the "happy" resolutions is the last six ish minutes of the book. The first book was pretty good; about what you would expect. This book, not so much.

blood boiling

The story instills a lot of anger and frustration towards the antagonist and deuteragonist who keep getting in the MC's way. The story gets slightly a little unbelievable of how the MC gets out of some of the trickiest situations but overall it was a story that was hard to put down.

When I did manage to put down the story, it kept creeping into my thoughts.
