Summary

Maia Delacroix is a hunter of people and magical artifacts. She enjoys her life as a mage and bounty hunter. Her life is full of excitement and danger, with very little responsibility.

The Mageri shocks her with a new ward. As a recently orphaned teen, Elaina’s witch mother kept her somewhat isolated from the magical community, but now, Maia is to entrench her into the magical lifestyle.

But Elaina has secrets, and it soon becomes clear that Elaina is no mere witch. The coven wants her back. They engage necromancers to turn Maia’s vampire friends into enemies. If that isn’t bad enough, demons start coming out of the woodwork.

If Maia can turn her hunting skills into defense, they might be okay. That is, if only Elaina can trust her.

Fantastic!

Just added Kim Mullican to my follow list for the paranormal/urban fantasy genre. Her worldbuilding is spot-on; she is creative and imaginative, blending all the essential elements and presenting them in a gripping package. Blood and Fire is a fantastic start to the Alpha and Omega series; it's brilliantly written with intriguing and appealing characters. The storyline was downright entertaining and enjoyable; I was hooked right from the start. As for the narration, Stacy Dugan was outstanding. She captured and portrayed the characters flawlessly, bringing them to life. Overall, Blood and Fire was a fantastic listen, one I'll recommend.

Graet narration and storyline

This is a new author to me, and I don't regret giving this book a chance. I really enjoyed the whole story, the magical creatures, Atlantis, and the characters of the story.
Maia is a really great, I love how she speaks her mind and is a strong female. I enjoyed how her relationship with Elena developed throughout the book. The secondary characters are a good addition to the story and make it more interesting and magical.

As for the narration, Stacy Dugan is also a new narrator to me, but she did such a fantastic job with her performance. She has a great voice that makes it easy to listen, her male voices are really good, and she has different voices for the different characters which is always the best in a narrator.

new to the author brilliant

I'm in love with this storyline. Twitchy to see what unfolds next. Will something romantic develop with Liam? Will her ward discover her paternity? I'm itching with curiosity! What's next for this unconventional family? Hoping volume 2 doesn't have too long of a wait time! Keep it coming, I need to know what happens next!

What a journey. 100% recommend.

I was given a free copy of this book and I'm leaving an honest and voluntary review.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, its very imaginative, very well written and perfectly balanced. the characters are brilliant, they are all aptly suited and bring their own unique personality. The story is captivating and has a vast amount of detail and depth.
I was very quickly drawn, its one of those books where I didn't want it to end, if not for my need to sleep, I'd of finished this book in one go.
The narration is flawless, Stacy delivers a masterful preference and captured the essence of the characters and story.
A definite must have 100% recommend.

Didn't Want it to End!

Kim Mullican is a new to me author. This is a paranormal fantasy with all the feels.
Maia is a bad a** bounty hunter who inherits a 15 year old with powers she can't control and that no one knows she has.
While they are bonding there are nothing but interruptions! Enter Vamps, Demons and Witches!
If you like fantasy you will like this book as much as I did.
Can't wait for the next one!

Stacy Dugan did a great job with the narration.

Loved the book!
This was an ARC and this is my honest review.

Awesome and Fun

Maia is a bounty hunter and mage and she likes her life. However, she gets a shock of her life when she is called to the Mageri, and given the newly orphaned teen Elaina because Maia is her only family left. Elaina knows about magic but her witch mother kept her away from it. What might be the biggest discovery now that Elaina is trust into the world of magic is how much power the teen has.
This was an awesome and fun book with lots of action and paranormal presence. I had the audio book narrated by Stacy Dugan who made this book even more fun. She did wonderful voices for the different characters, and transported you into the story. The characters are a wonderful lot who will make you smile especially the lawyer. I really liked this book and am ready to start book two.

oh what fun!

This was a new to me author and narrator and I am very happy to discover both. My husband doesn't read but he actually cut the sound off of his video game to join me in listening because of just how good the situational conversation between characters is. We were both laughing aloud and having to pause for personal commentary and discussion so we didn't miss the interaction between characters. If you like funny or snark this is definitely for you

Not to Bad

I think it may have been better with a different narrator, the narrator comes off very young and sounds very childish, the story itself just seems like it was rushed to print, like a lot of effort wasn't put in to it

Really enjoyable

I actually really enjoyed this book
Audio was fabulous
No smut or love interest at this stage it’s not a focus.

Loved the fmc the mmc and the 16 year old girl.
World building is great and sets the scene for the next book. No cliffhanger but it’s clear the story isn’t over.

Vamps, mages, witches, shifters and demons. Times are a changing and they are starting to unite in preparation for when magicals are outed to humans.

Gifted audio in exchange for an honest review I’m looking forward to listening to book two.
