Summary

Stumble upon a turf war and accidentally kill a wolf one time and the whole world wants you dead.

Well, maybe not the whole world.

The Blood Mafia should be happy I've taken out one of their enemies. Instead, they want to use me for their own gain.

Now that they’ve captured me, I’m determined to escape and stab a few vampires on my way out. The only problem is my freedom comes at a price.

My heart.

Mateo, Colt, and Grayson speak to my soul in ways I never expected. I want to hate them, but I’m not sure I can escape them without leaving a piece of myself behind.

Loved this story, love stabby Demi

Wow, I loved this story. This book was great to listen to as you just don't know where the story or the characters are going to go as Demi is so unpredictable.
Demi has been kidnapped by the Blood Mafia. They are ruthless, violent, murderous vampires but it doesn't stop Demi from trying to escape, constantly.
I loved Demi, she was feisty, sarcastic, fearless (most of the time) and completely unhinged - she was so entertaining to read. Mateo, Colt and Grey have no problems running the mafia but struggle with how to deal with Demi.
The story is interesting and has a few twists but you will not see that cliffhanger coming.

The narration was good, although it took me quite a while to get use to the guys voices, they sounded very similar and a little bored. I found it easier easier listen to once I changed the speed to 1.25.

Dark series but oh so good!

This was a brilliant start to the series. Demi is a fabulous character. She’s sassy and feisty and doesn’t take no for an answer. This book is gritty and dark with some twists and turns that had me screaming and laughing and I can’t wait for the next one.

MJ Webb did a fantastic job of bringing the characters to life. There’s so much inflection and variance in the characters that you really get a strong sense of individuality. I felt the drama and emotions the narrator brought through and I think this is one of the best narrations I’ve heard in a while.

Awesome mafia romance

I recently took an interest in the mafia books and this book is great in that aspect. It's so good I couldn't stop listening so be prepared you can't either. The female lead is so good and likeable and interesting as a person to read about that you can't help yourself but turn page after page. Self destructive a bit yes but really good. I also enjoyed the fact that she has friends that are girls and they are talked about in the book which is different than most RH books I've read. I also liked the guys in this book and the tension that is rising. Can't wait for the next! The audio is good, the voice is easy to listen to and MJ Webb makes the story come to live with her voice acting.

So bad, it actually boomeranged back around to goo

So, I'm not sure what's happening with reviewers lately. For instance, you all love this book and gave its narration like 1,000 stars, but both are mediocre. It's certainly possible that you're not as strapped for cash as I am, and you're okay with less-than-worth-the-price reads. I, however, am not. And it's my own fault for following your reviews...YET AGAIN...into this ridiculous bin of audible junk. Each time this happens, I get even more jaded and distrust your reviews even more.

This narrator goes by another name. Can't think of it now, but she's in my "don't buy this audiobook because the narrator sucks" list. She's so bad. SO, so bad.

Like, 1970's soap opera-bad. I almost died when she read "I'm tired of watching telenovellas....they're too over the top". Hilarious! Really? I wonder what THAT'S like.

Her male voices are insanely hilarious. It's just basically her pouting her lips out and dropping her chin and frowning the words out. Like when a kid mimics an aadul

DANG IT I literally remember writing the same exact thing about her before! I still can't remember her name.

The story is lackluster. Basically a regurgitation of every other paranormal reverse harem "hey whats so special about me?....wait, I'm going to save the world ??" crapola.

Meh. My kindle is acting weird. I may come back later to edit this. Not sure it's worth it. I've already removed the file from my library after about 10 chapters.

Oh. DNF.

Epic story, great narrator!

I’m brand new to Miles but the pretty cover and intriguing title & blurb piqued my interest. Since it wastes no time delivering on action, mystery and a relatable FMC, I’m no less hooked after the first chapter. Said FMC is extremely witty and I found myself smiling many times, even during some rather precarious situations.

Very few people can pull off crafting a world which is packed with drama, action, life-altering conflict, heat and still have laugh-out-loud humor throughout. I was repeatedly impressed by the writing and will absolutely seek out the rest of Miles’s catalog. Wow! I am stoked at this discovery.

This installment was just a little bit twisted, but I feel there’s potential for more and will read on to see whether I’m correct. Either way, cannot wait to find out.

4.5 stars.

Dear author:
Thank you for “glory box” and “cookie”. (Dead)

Note:
I listened to the audiobook and wow! The narrator has a great voice and uses scene-appropriate tones. This made for a great listening experience … and made me laugh at times. She’s not just reading a book, she’s acting. 4.5-star performance.

Review of all 3 books!

This is a series where you won't be mad, you won't remember some of it a week later but still is a great story. If you are running out of series, go for it.

Spoilers Ahead

Pros
* The guys are all unique and Demi is No Pushover
* Sexy times are detailed but quick.
* Lots of supernatural activity. From Hunters, Wolves, Vanpires, Demons and Hellhounds.
* Demi and her men get a HEA, some parties involved get a nice little wrap up
* The side stories are super interesting. Evelyn in general could be a spin off series.

Cons
* The OVERUSE of a lot of terms drove me crazy!!! The term Fangbanger was almost enough to make me stop the series. Also anything relating to Stabby made me cringe by the end.
* The sex could be better. No MM and only one group scene in the three books.
* While some got a HEA the horrors of the demon and baby stealing are still hanging in limbo.
* Evelyn's storyline got cut way to short. What is she doing with the Hunter and Wolf...I have questions!!
* They should have used a male narrator as well. MJ Webb does not do a great job at differentiateng male voices.
* This should really be a complete series. Spending 3 credits on this is crappy.

I’m Curious to See Where This Goes...

If I’m being completely honest, I was going to give this story 3/5 stars at first. I found that I was quite confused as to what was happening in the beginning, there was little back story, and the plot was slow moving. HOWEVER... HOLY CLIFF HANGER DID NOT SEE THAT COMING. Ergo, this story deserves 4/5 stars. Once things started falling into place (literally toward the end of the book), I started to get interested and as the title of my review says, I’m curious to see where this series goes.

Content warning: there are quite a few references to assault/potential assault. There’s also a lot of sexual tension throughout the book that made me cringe a little bit.

The narrator is AWESOME. She’s great at bringing each character to life with tone/voice changes. I think her interpretation of Demi’s voice and inner dialogue is spot on to the character. MJ Webb is so talented at her narrations.

Liked everything but the female lead character

I liked the storyline, plot, narrators, & most of the characters! I hated the female lead character.

Stabby

I have been told to check out this series by a few people . And this book didn't disappoint. This book is mafia with a PNR twist and it's delicious. The mafia are on another level and Demi well she can handle herself no problem. The male voices aren't my favourite but the story is so engaging that I could overlook that issue as this book is action packed and you want to know what going to happen.
Demi got her work cut out and I can't wait for more.
