Summary
A week before Lenore Warwick's 21st birthday, she's kidnapped by the brooding and dangerous stranger with cold eyes and a lethal touch, who has been stalking her on San Francisco's fog-shrouded streets. Absolon "Solon" Stavig isn't your average criminal though. He's a centuries-old vampire who's caught between wanting to kill Lenore and wanting to save her.
You see Lenore, too, is a vampire. She just doesn't know it yet.
Taken by a pair of vampire slayers when she was just an infant, Lenore was raised never knowing her true nature. All Lenore knows is that she has (normal) parents who love her, that she's exceptionally smart, and she's squeamish around blood. But once she turns 21, she'll fully turn into a vampire, and Solon hopes he'll be there to guide her, opening her eyes to her deepest hunger...both sexual and otherwise.
But this turning can't be kept a secret. Soon both slayers and vampires are hunting Lenore, with only Solon and his unpredictable motley crew of vampires to save her.
Contains mature themes.

Great story
Narrator not so good. Story is brilliant. Really enjoyed it once I got over listening to narrator.

Scandinavian listeners, FYI
Appreciated the book very much and since the second one wasn't narrated yet I just started reading it, which made one thing a bit more clear to me. The woman in the household is not named Ivan (understandably), but Yvonne.

Great story, well narrated
The narrator did a great job differentiating between characters. The story was fantastic, intriguingly spicy in parts and just an all round enjoyable listen.

Dark vampire romance
Been a while since I read a vampire story that was worth while. Have to say that first way around didn't know how to feel about it. So I read it for a second time and I arrived to the conclusion that I love it. Will definitely read the other book. 😍📖

Spicy Vampire Romance
I loved the story but wished I would’ve read it instead of listening to the audiobook (the narration wasn’t good and I think some aspects would’ve been better if I had read it)
However, I’ll probably pick up the second one! 🥰

More story line, less boinking
Like many other reviewers I found the narrators voice difficult to to listen too, however it was the long long descriptive sex scenes that had me reaching for the skip forward button.
Not fast paced, more of a love story set against a vampire background - twilight meets 50 shades.
Not my thing to be honest

thoroughly enjoyable
the narration was spot on, its told from the female lead character point of view and the narration captures her very well, the other characters are also well performed. all this brings the story and the spice together perfectly. looking forward to listening to the next book.

Good story bad narrator
I haven’t read the vampire book in a long time so I really enjoyed this read. I would say listen, but unfortunately the British accent that the narrator was trying to do for the male lead was absolutely terrible. I’ve never heard a worse British accent in my life and I live in England.
