Summary

A heinous crime. One witness—Jack Widow. One suspect—Jack Widow.

A snowy night. A lonely country road. The Black Hills of South Dakota. Widow takes a wrong turn and witnesses the aftermath of a heinous crime. The only trace he sees of the criminals is a pair of taillights.

A simple crime turns Widow into a local sheriff’s one and only suspect, but nothing is as it seems.

Trying to prove his innocence, Widow’s need to right wrongs dredges up a hidden network of pure evil.

Fans of Lee Child’s Jack Reacher, Vince Flynn’s Mitch Rapp, and Mark Greaney’s The Gray Man will love this installment of the million-selling Jack Widow thriller series.

Greed

Brilliant narration by Alan Philip Ormond

Jack finds himself left at petrol station and starts wandering a country road in South Dakota in the dead of night when . Jack can not walk away from trouble or a some one in trouble. Problem trouble finds him. He finds a woman rolled in a rug and it just goes down hill for him . The sheriff he suspects Widow of attempted murder with no evidence and actually proof to the contrary. The FBI become involved, but the criminals are convinced they are invincible. I kinder feel sorry for the bad guys, you do not want a angry Jack Widow after you.

One of my favorite series!!

I’ve been a fan of Scott Blade ever since picking up the first book in his Jack Widow series. All of the books in this series are wonderful. Each is a standalone and the series can be listened to in any order. I would suggest listening to book 1 (Gone Forever) for background on Widow but it is not a necessity for enjoying this book or any book in the series.
In this book Widow is abandoned at a gas station by a couple he had hitched a ride from. He begins walking down a deserted road and comes across a woman half buried in the snow. Strangled and wrapped in a rug that’s been duct taped around her. Widow is able to tear her naked body free. After bundling her in his shirt and coat he walks a few miles in the cold and snow until he comes to a bar. He carries the woman in, asks for help and promptly passes out.
When Widow wakes up he finds himself in a jail cell. Rather then being celebrated for saving the woman’s life he is a suspect in her attempted murder.
Alan Phillip Ormond does a superb job narrating.
This book has my HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION.

Better than Most Jack Reachers

So glad to find this series. It’s better than most Reacher’s, particularly the latest ones. If you enjoy Reacher, then you will absolutely enjoy this series. And the narrator is awesome … much better than Scott Brickman and on par with the Dick Hill Reacher installments.

Very exciting! Wish Scott could eventually meet his dad, Jack! That team would be unstoppable.

Great read

Author always comes up with a great and different storyline. I really like the narrator, he does a really good job. I’m glad Blade’s work is on Audible now more than it has been…

Can’t Get Enough of Jack Widow!!

For fans of strong male characters, this is my favorite series of books. I can’t wait for the next book, The Standoff to be released. I would use all my credits if all the books became available at one time that’s how good this series is. The voice of Alan Philip Ormond is the perfect voice for Jack Widow. I really enjoy listening to him read each book, much better than reading them myself. I can’t wait for the next book to be released.

A brazilian drama....

Book 10 was great but this story was similar to book 9 where it took 3.5 hours to develop and repeat itself over and over again. The final chapters were good but they came an end very quickly. not sure what to expect from book 12. Will it be like this one with a lot of fast forwards or will it be like what we are used to from Jack Widow???
