Improve communication skills

This was a unique book for teens. I like how it helps you translate emojis into words. Communication is so much different now than when I was a teen. Emojis didn't even exist then. And it can be hard to know how to communicate well online and in person. This book has some good strategies for teens to improve their communication skills.

Very Informative

Reading this book taught me that communicating online has its own rules and challenges. It showed me that there's much more to texting and using emojis than I thought and that understanding these can improve how I connect with my friends and family. The book gave me strategies to be more confident and clear in my digital interactions, making me feel better prepared for online conversations. It's an excellent guide for anyone who wants to communicate better in today's digital world.

Equip your teen with essential skills for the digital age with this insightful guide on communicating online, offering practical advice and real-world examples to navigate the complexities of the virtual world, its a tough one out there and this is the least we can do. We certainly weren't brought up in a world where this is at the forefront, but it is now. Great resource.

Level-Up Your Communication Skills!

The world is changing, the internet and social media apps have changed the way we communicate. Teens today face a unique set of challenges that come with these new forms of communication. I have experienced a message being construed or miscommunication occurring when using text messages, as context is hard when communicating through technology. It's harder to get your message across when you are not using language and have the context of pitch, sound, or even body language in the delivery. Even at work using Slack, I often received complaints about the perception of the message and the use of emojis complicate things even more. This audiobook will help you to communicate through these popular mediums, to allow your communication to be empathetic, show you strategies to engage with others, create and deepen the relationship, and to keep the nuances of your messages, how to practice digital etiquette and how to keep your voice and authenticity. I highly recommend this book to anyone trying to tackle and pivot to incorporate this new technology while keeping the intention of their message intake.

Very helpful as a school teacher

I've been teaching children/teenagers for almost 20 years and in that time I have seen a massive increase in mental health disorders and like many have put the blame on mobile phones. As this book helped me to realise, mobile phones are not all bad or all good and either way they are here to stay, my tactic of just banning mobile phones in the classroom may help them achieve a little focus during my lesson but will not help with general techniques for the wider world. It's easy to forget we now live in a generation now that have no understanding of a world where they didn't exist and this book made me stop wishing for time gone past and to face the reality of today and give strategies to students in the way that speaks to the world they live in. I found now I can understand my students a lot more and be more of an influence in what a happy, anxiety free person looks like and oppose to enforcing all the things on them that i think will make them better.

Wonderful Audiobook!

This audiobook is amazing because it provides practical advice to help young listeners effectively communicate in the age of digital media. Useful for our teenage son

We wanted to give our teenage son some more advice around communications because he seems to always be on his phone or computer so we are a bit worried about socialising in person, as it rarely happens. He really enjoyed this audible and it was a great bridge between us telling him and him finding out for himself and taking action on what he learned. He was really taken back by the chapter, Beyond the Screen - Strengthening Relationships, because it gave him confidence to go to game meet ups (in person) and to spend more time outside with friends while trying to cut down his screen time. Really useful audible, a must listen for any teen who spends to long on the phone/computer. Highly recommended.
