Summary
Seventeen years ago, Quinn McKinley left her small town of Kingsford for a shot at a happier life. Now a successful real estate agent in New York City, she's brought back on behalf of a client, begrudgingly accepting her return home in order to close the deal of a lifetime.
Coming back opens doors she's done her best to keep closed all these years, namely, how she felt about her childhood best friend, Sawyer Kent.
Sawyer's spent her whole life in Kingsford, working at her family's antique store and trying to make everyone happy. Quinn's return is unexpected, knocking her routine existence more than a little off balance. She's still frustrated at how Quinn left things between them, and even if she has all kinds of unresolved feelings, she's got bigger problems to worry about right now.

Delicious
All the right ingredients for a gorgeous romantic story. Monica McCallan has totally surpassed Georgia Beers and Mellissa Brayden for this type of lesfic IMHO. She has really mastered her craft and long may it continue. And Lori Prince is absolutely wonderful - such a perfect match for MMs work 😍 Loved. It.

Great! This author never disappoints
loved the story, and the pace and how you are drawn in to lovable characters. This is soon becoming my favourite author tho having ploughed through around 4 of her books this month I've noticed she uses the same language in all which I'm supposed she or her editor haven't picked up on. she always refers to 'unabashedly' in all books and somwtimes it's not even the best fitting word anyway for that context tho sometimes it is but, it's being overused. other than that her stories are different and refreshing and she is still my new fav author and om literally looking for another book by her ad one finishes. love the narrator also which is saying something for me as I often find female narrators from U.S quite nasal and painful on the ears but this one has a whole ray of voices and tones and some, saved for intimate scenes really do make you quiver. I've heard many female narrators ruin senstive scenes by being over fake and over the top. right I'm off to grab another book by this brilliant duo. I need to return to my actual preferred genre soon which is post apocalypse survival action packed books but I'm struggling as my head has been turned. I'll get an email from audible soon checking if I'm.ok. : -)
