Two sweet mysteries

This box set contains two stories. It's a light hearted mystery series with no murder but a little romance, I normally prefer the author sticks to the mystery side of a story but I actually liked the way the author wrote and thought it was a good mix in both books. I liked the characters and the way they interacted with each other. The bucket list was a fun quirky addition to the stories. A fun series that I will have to visit again.
THE MYSTERIOUS DOLL. BOOK ONE but book four in the series
It kept me guessing who was behind it all, it was a bit obvious why the dolls was so important but I still loved the cases.
Amelia and Rick's latest case is to help find a missing boyfriend. He disappeared the same day that a porcelain doll was stolen from the museum where he worked. The police think he is guilty but the girlfriend thinks something else is going on. When the FBI show an interest in the case, Amelia knows that to help Sam they have to solve not only where he is but also what happened to the doll. Why is somebody else is looking for it too and how far will they go to get it first?
HER LOST LOVE. BOOK TWO but book five in the series.
This book was a lot more on the courtship of the two main characters as they try to track down a missing man and cross off things to do on there bucket list while they look. Still an enjoyable listen with romance, humour and mystery, especially as it continues on from the last book.
Amelia's latest client can't say yes to the man she is dating until she knows what happened to her first love. He went off to college and disappeared without a trace, even his parents moved suddenly. Can Amelia and Rick track down his old friends and piece together the clues of what happened to him. At the same time the pair seem to have picked up a tail. Paparazzi after a juicy story on the famous lawyer and her soon to be husband? Or something the missing man was involved in and the reason he went missing?
I liked the narrator. She did some good voices which helped bring the story to life, not sure we needed the singing though.

A lot of fun and a very entertaining mystery

know that if I want to listen to a fun mystery with lovable characters I need look no further than any of the books in the Amelia Moore Detective Agency series.

Having read the earlier books in the series, there are many endearing things that I love and look forward to reading with each new instalment; Amelia and Rick completing another item on their respective bucket lists, travelling to a new place, the burgeoning romance between the pair, trying new food and solving a complex mystery.

The Mysterious Doll case is a wonderful addition to the series. The case is intriguing and a real puzzle. Rick and Amelia are really cute as a couple and they make a good team when solving a case together. The author adds some twists and turns along the way as well as a good deal of humour.

A fun, light read, suitable for the whole family.

Her Lost Love
A lovely story. One of my favourites of the series. This is a really sweet story about a woman looking to be reunited with her childhood sweetheart.
I liked how the author kept us guessing about what happened to the man in question and whether or not it would lead to the happy ever after that everyone was hoping for. Rick was the voice of caution.
Amelia and Rick's relationship also progresses in a happy direction. I have enjoyed their burgeoning romance and it adds a lovely subplot to the whole series.
I also loved the comedic elements in the story especially the incident of Amelia's kidnapping.
Hugely entertaining and highly recommended.
