Summary

Matt and Chris have made it home ahead of the undead curse, but at what cost?

The dungeon is surrounded, the refugees have made it to safety, but . . . they need food, water, space to recover and rest, and none of these things come cheap. That cost must be paid in mana.

Mike and Kelly were sent to bring reinforcements from the park, but they're walking into a meatgrinder, one that will strip the life from them, then raise them to besiege those they love . . .

Matt has only one chance . . . lead the refugees, forge them anew into a force that can face the undead, in their tens of thousands.

Worst of all . . . the beer's damn well warm.

Hooked!

Well worth your time, great story that swells with childhood imaginings sci fi and fantasy references galore.

Looking forward to the next instalment

Murder Hobo is a class

Yet again Jez Cajiao throws you into the back of his car and takes you on a ride through the undead and madness of a world gone nuts . Tons of in jokes and loads of fighting for anyone who has ever played a video game and wanted it to be real

Zombies? oh, please, no!

OMG, anything but that, c'mon! This living dead, zombies spoiled it for me.
Mutated monsters, weird new creatures, magic, developing godlike powers, and an alien threat yet to be fully explained? these were all a good start on book 1, and I was looking forward to it developing in that direction, but then it got lazy and fell back on the overdone living dead nonsense.
Performance & characters are all interesting, and I enjoyed the fallible hero development. if the next in series continues to focus on the living dead as the main storyline, it's doubtful I will continue to follow it.
It's just my personal opinion, but the zombie, living dead theme is overdone, and I personally find it boring and lacking imagination. I was hooked on finding out more about the aliens who seeded the dungeons, how it didn't work as they expected, the other dungeons, the reason behind it all, and the implied threat of another hostile alien attack and with how they expect to manage the development of the human race as a cohesive force to stand against it?

Still listening

I'm really enjoying it but I'm noticing that it seems like the end of each chapter seems to cut off mid word, and I think part of the chapter I'm on is missing audio, suddenly were in the middle of a fight when moments ago we were just starting the first dungeon training???

would love to hear the whole thing

Great collection

Hooked from book one. Brilliant , well thought out, story line is really building up.
I bought the book as I’m pretty new to audible and I was not disappointed. It grabbed in about two hours of listening.
I waited in anticipation for the third install and got it the day it came out. I can’t wait for the fourth book. Thank you Jez…

Cracking story,

A really good story, the narration though good the Geordie accents sounded more Dublin with a slew of Cardiff.
Pre ordered the next one, can’t wait.
