Summary
A door opens. An army of dragons advance. And the fate of the living rests with the dead.
After obtaining the secret to creating dragons, the leader of the Fhrey has turned the tide of war once more - but gaining the advantage has come at a terrible price. While Imaly plots to overthrow the fane for transgressions against his people, a mystic and a keeper are the only hope for the Rhunes. Time is short, and the future of both races hangs in the balance. In this exciting conclusion to the Legends of the First Empire series, the Great War finally comes to a climactic end, and with it dawns a new era in the Age of Empyre.
From the New York Times and USA Today best-selling author Michael J. Sullivan comes the concluding installment of his six-book epic fantasy. This series chronicles a pivotal point in Elan's history when humans and those they once saw as gods warred until a new world order was born. Set 3,000 years before the Riyria tales, Legends is a stand-alone fantasy series that is independent of the Riyria novels. But for those who do listen to both series, Legends will unmask lies and reveal the truth about Elan's history and the men and women who shaped what the world became.
Performed by Nora Achrati, Amanda Forstrom, Colleen Delany, Tia Shearer, Bradley Smith, Lise Bruneau, Chris Stinson, Kimberly Gilbert, Todd Scofield, Terence Aselford, Christopher Walker, Lily Beacon, Danny Gavigan, Eric Messner, Jessica Lauren Ball, Tracy Olivera, Yasmin Tuazon, Eva Wilhelm, Michael John Casey, Stephon Walker, Richard Rohan, Catherine Aselford, Matthew Bassett, Zeke Alton, Shanta Parasuraman, Carolyn Kashner, Chris Genebach, Marni Penning, Rose Elizabeth Supan, Mort Shelby, Matthew Schleigh, Scott McCormick, and Nanette Savard.

wished there was more.
it was an easy to listen through and quite enjoyable at the start, but this story just left me sad and filled me with questions it felt rushed like the author had no idea what to do at some parts. tbh I think the characters deserves better like they just went through a big trail.

Voice effects
The story was good through the series. Voice acting was good but some of the effects were horrible, like dragon voice effects.. way too much distortion I didnt understand a word he said without rewinding his lines like 10 times.. some of the background noices were too loud and masking the narrative.

Can’t stop
Thoroughly enjoyed this whole dramatized version. So sorry it was over and wish there was a series between it and the next.

Not a fan of the dramatization
I started the books with one of my favorite narrators and just couldn’t swing into this dramatization. Maybe if I had started that way I could have tolerated it.

Fantastic conclusion to a fantastic series
I loved this series so much I couldn’t put it down. I have listened to just about everything this author has written and it just keeps getting better. Excellent narration.

love it
Sometimes the sound effects make it difficult to understand what's being said but I'm addicted to graphic audio.
This book wraps the series up beautifully and answers many questions I had about The Riyria Revelations. There is definitely opportunity for more books in the future if the author chooses but the ending is satisfying enough that it's not needed. (I love this universe though so I hope he writes more ❤️)

Great story with distracting sound effects.
I prefer the first release narrated by Tim Gerard Reynolds. This cast version might be an improvement but it doesn't have a chance with over use of background noise that only detracts from this marvelous story.

Didn’t like the dramatized version
Since I enjoyed the previous versions I had listened to, the dramatized version fell short. I have gotten the original.
