Brilliantly written
This was so well written. Would definitely recommend. I wasn't sure if I would like it due to the split ending but I loved it.

very good
thought this was a good book. felt very much like a female narrative of a male character with max and didn't quite come across as strongly as a true version of his perspective, but otherwise really good. very sad.

Wow
this book is not like the other books by the author but i was gripped from the start. One review I read give the outcome away so I will try to review without spoilers.
beautful characters, heartwrenching decisions, and hope .
Not an easy read/listen by any means due to the subject matter. I did find aspects of the book confusing (lots of jumping around) but once I was on track it was fine.

Clare Mackintosh never disappoints
Every parents nightmare but told so beautifully with so much real emotion that I wasn't at all surprised by the author's message at the end....this book will make you want to go and hold your children close no matter their age....I simply couldn't stop listening.

outstanding!
I struggled to put this book down. Right from the get go, you are drawn in and immediately feel part of the story line. Get your tissues ready as I cried like a baby! Beautifully written. I feel lost now it's over as I felt like I knew the characters and find myself thinking about it daily. It really made an impact on me. Can't recommend it enough.
