Really slow to get going and for me only picks up near the end. Once I started, had to persevere.

The story kinda started off decent but went downhill
Quite predictable and cringed at sentences such as crumbled like a building in an earthquake
The idea behind it was ok but glad to have it finished

For me, there is nothing worse when reading a review that details the ending. On that basis all that I will say is it was an enjoyable book to listen to, the narrator was excellent. The characters believable. I would listen to this authors books again. I recommend it.

Once it got going was quite good but there were so many unanswered questions at the end. Didn’t realise it was part of a series. Not compelled to listen to the next one but would like a summary of what happened next to answer my questions…
