Summary

Warning: The next attack on American soil will come from within.

From coast to coast, our nation is witnessing a new wave of terror. Suicide bombers incite blind panic and paralyzing fear. A flight attendant tries to crash an airliner. A police officer opens fire on fans in a stadium. And at CIA headquarters, a deputy director goes on a murderous rampage. The perpetrators appear to be American - but they are covert agents in a vast network of terror, selected and trained for one purpose only: the complete annihilation of America.

Special Agent Jericho Quinn has seen the warning signs. As a classified "instrument" of the CIA reporting directly to the president, Quinn knows that these random acts of violence pose a clear and present danger. But Quinn may not be able to stop it. The search for terrorists has escalated into an all-out witch hunt. And somehow, Quinn's name is on the list....

Don't bother!

Could not get past the first chapter. Narration ruined by horrendous unintelligible pretend accents. Garbage

Re-release of 2012 novel

In my opinion ACT OF TERROR is the weakest of the 8 novels in Marc Cameron's excellent Jericho Quinn series. The original audiobook was released in 2012 and I wrote review it then. My hope was that the author had changed aspects of the novel to improve it. But in fact there are no changes and indeed this is the 2012 narration. All that changed was the cover art. Disappointing!!

Story length and depth seems to need help

I really like the Jericho Quinn storyline. I would like see a bit more story development. Not quite as long as a Tom Clancy book, but along those lines. I will continue to listen or read the books.

Character Development

I like that the characters are vulnerable to the human condition. Not just superheroes that fly through life unabated. This story is plausible which makes it pretty scary. Good reading.

I Don't Know Is On 3rd

Even better as a reread/initial listen, as I didn't know at Bk2 how much I'd love JQ. Jericho is equal to Reacher and that is as much as can be said. Cameron is great with " other " diversion BUT he should be dancing with 1st date.

Simply Terrible

This book was so badly narrated that I was unsure as to the actual quality of the story. That is, I was unsure until the end when the author channels Clive Cussler and concocts something so totally improbable that I had to listen a second time to be sure I wasn't missing something. Nope! Just stupid.
