Summary

Her Warrior

To forge an alliance between the English and the Scots, Lady Rosamond must marry a Lowland stranger. But when a mysterious attacker threatens the engagement and her life, Robert the Bruce assigns one of his most trusted warriors to protect her. Finn Sutherland’s brooding gaze is almost as dark as his heart, yet Rosamond finds herself captivated by her Highland Bodyguard. Now she must choose between responsibility and the searing need Finn ignites within her.

His Pledge

Finn is honor-bound to swallow his hatred of the English and serve as bodyguard to Lady Rosamond. He never expects his charge to touch his scarred heart with her warmth and kindness. Worse, her honey hair and violet eyes bring him to his knees with lust. When the threat to Rosamond spirals out of control, Finn does the only thing he can think of to protect her - he stands in for her betrothed as a proxy husband. As desire clashes with duty, Finn’s pledge will be tested like never before.

This full-length Scottish historical romance is part of the Highland Bodyguards Series, but also can be enjoyed as a standalone novel. Pick up your copy today!

Satisfying

Narrator doing women's voices was odd. Didn't suit him. Story was gripping. And sexy

A Warrior’s Pledge

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! It was well written with strong characters, good drama and suspense, along with humor and romance. Emma Prince researches and gives us the real history of the time at the end of her book which makes it more interesting to me. She is a wonderful writer! I hope all of her books will be available from Audible and narrated by the talented Tim Campbell.

Some High & Lowland twists

This highland tale had several fun twists that kept the audience guessing the story as the plot got deeper & deeper.

The bodyguard series just keeps getting better!

I have read the first 3 books in the series and with every one the story gets better and better. Finn is a fantastic character who's wounded heart is understandable and gut wrenching. Rosamond in turn has chosen to try to be happy despite tragic circumstances. the pull between them is palpable and sensual. Trying to figure out who is responsible for the attacks on Rosamond is also great fun! I hate to leave these characters already, as I always do with the end of each book. However, I am also excited to start the next one!!

Great....but

I really loved the story of Finn and it was headed to a five star rating .....BUT I seriously did NOT like one of my most famous Highlander’s moving to England. Other than that it was wonderfully written with a great narrator. So close Ms. Prince

Better than 2

I wasn't thrilled with book 2 but I am back in the fold with book 3. I have always LOVED Finn even when he was trying to stop Jocelyn from saving the King (the Sinclair's stories). I recommend.

What a FANTASTIC story!!!

I loved how the female character, Rosamond, was portrayed in this book. She had the exact amount of love and kindness to heal Finn's emotional wounds from his past. The fast-paced plot and characters' love are flawlessly written. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐💕💕💕💕💕 I didn't want this story to end. This series is easily the best historical suspense romance I've ever read. The author's talent to develop the characters is unparalleled. I need more of Emma Prince's books!!!

Love Emma Prince!

This is one of my favorite books so far by Emma Prince. This book gave me butterflies. Between Tim Campbell’s deep voice and perfect Scottish brogue and Emma Prince’s amazing writing, this is the perfect historical romance. I also LOVE Emma Prince’s historical notes at the end of the book and how she tangles real history with romantic fiction. Worth a credit in my world 😉

Really Enjoying This Series

It's nice to see Finn's story and you truly understand why he hates the English. Then comes Rosamond and she changes his world. I like the way the story is developed and Tim Campbell is great. On to the next book.
