About this listen

A Steamy Regency

Lady Elizabeth Fulton is desperate. She must find her brother, the Earl of Leicester, to save her family’s standing. Unfortunately, that means scouring the darkest of London. The man could be anywhere—gambling dens, his mistress’s home, even one of a dozen brothels. If she is discovered, she will be ruined and cast from the ton. But she has no choice, she must find him.

The last thing the Duke of Cambridge expected was to see Lady Elizabeth Fulton making a scene in a gambling den. The woman was sharp-tongued and headstrong, but she wasn’t a fool. When he discovers why, he has no choice but to escort her through the worst parts of London. If he doesn’t, she’ll either end up dead before sunrise, or worse, sold to a Manchester brothel.

Two enemies forced to work together. At first learning to trust, then learning to love.

This was my first read by this author. I have to say I really enjoyed it for a fast pace historical romance. Perfect for a 1 sitting read. Love the bit of mystery as well for the Duke and Elizabeth get together to find her brother. I look forward to more and I love this cover.

I will say the audio had changes in voice pitches and sounded like something humming (electric air conditioner maybe) was in the background a few times. So the quality wasn't 100% but it wasn't too bad.

Narrator Sloan Oliver did a good job, I enjoyed her narration.

I received this audiobook and book at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

G.L. Snodgrass has written another wonderful story. I can't tell you how much I enjoy her work. An excellent listen with good narration.
