About this listen

A double award-winning historical romance

An irrepressible duke, a bookish spinster, a devious murderer... Regency house parties have never been so hazardous!

Oliver Dasenby is the most infuriating man Primrose Garland has ever known. He may be her brother's best friend, but he has an atrocious sense of humor. Eight years in the cavalry hasn't taught him solemnity, nor has the unexpected inheritance of a dukedom.

But when Oliver inherited his dukedom, it appears that he also inherited a murderer.

Oliver might be dreadfully annoying, but Primrose doesn't want him dead. She's going to make certain he survives his inheritance - and the only way to do that is to help him catch the murderer!

Length: full-length novel of 85,000 words.

Sensuality level: regency romance with steamy love scenes.

Very enjoyable

Great narration. Light hearted and a great listen. Loved the characters and a little different to have a touch of fantasy in there. Will listen to the others in the series now in the hope their as good.

What a delight

This is the first audio book I have listened to by Emily Larkin but it certainly won't be the last. A joyous story full of laughter and sadness with the characters amazingly brought to like by the superb narrator. An all round pleasure, the seduction is the most amusing and delightful I have ever heard. Highly recommended

I was totally enthralled by this story, especially as it was narrated by Rosalyn Landor. Brilliant.

A Fairy Godmother and Word Play.

Not the usual run of the mill.
The heroine has magical powers only given to the females of the family.
The other characters are OK, and the story is light weight, but enjoyable.
There is a lot of word play, and the sex chapters go on in detail.
Still easy listening.

Great crime story…

It was a joy listening toothier story- it turned into a crime story which was gripping and fun.

Could have done without the boring sex chapters but guess it is needed for others …

Marginal

Well narrated rubbish. With MCs who have marginal intelligence, even the small amount of humour in the first hour is not enough to tempt me into one minute more of this book.

The glowing reviews duped me into selecting it. This writer has swallowed the Disney pill. Adult content and Disney are not good bed companions.

NOT FOR ME. DISAPPOINTING. RETURNED
