I've been researching the assassinations of the 1960s and the covert history of the United States' roles in coups and assassinations for more than 25 years. I was never drawn to history in school. It seemed too pat, too propagandistic. I knew our history was hardly the spotless version presented. I had similar issues with the media. I had worked on a presidential campaign in 1992 and saw firsthand how inaccurate and biased the reporting was. After that experience, I wondered, if the media can be that wrong about things I know about, maybe they've been wrong on other topics as well. My first Internet search ever was "Kennedy assassination." That led me to a newsgroup where the assassination of JFK was being passionately debated. I knew to participate I'd have to learn a lot more. I started spending lunch hours at the library, reading books, magazine articles, and government documents on microfilm. In the process, I amassed a wealth of knowledge that weighed on me. I knew I had to share what I was learning far beyond that little newsgroup. If you care about the real history of the United States, you'll appreciate what I've put together for you. The truth will set us ALL free. Follow me on Twitter via @lisapease.
