This was a beautiful and captivating love story and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The banter was witty and hearing the stories of 4 couples finding each other was enlightening. The 3rd act drama hit hard and was followed by a good HEA. The narration was perfection.

This book was not written with non-American readers in mind as the use of the word “spastic” was abhorrent. That slur left common speech in the UK, in the 1980’s.

I kinda fell in love a little with each of the 2 couples, and am so looking forward to more of Backhand and Hawk, cos I need their story to! for these guys though I would have liked for there to have been a moment where the brothers shared their story with their partners. at the same time, I kinda love that it wasn't really a big part of the story. it was sweet, fluffy, with some action too. all I love in one! and it worked!

Tim Paige did a fantastic job narrating this story! I love his voice so much! . I've listened to this at least 6 times now I love it that much. Angel and Maximus are so romantic together. something about Rykers story made me cry and I'm so happy he found Bass. I can't wait to listen again. Reading the other comments I agree that this story is so far removed from the others I've heard from A.E.Via due to the sweetness of the romance

Story: This book is incredibly far removed from other series I read by AE Via. I could not for the life of me get into the story - the characters felt shallow and the insta - love part did not fit one iota in their case for me. The strong alpha males are there alright, but it's so plain to see in this book how much the author matured and how it translated to other books.
Narration: I liked the voice, but the narration was not the best in my opinion. It was difficult to follow at times and some editing errors appeared (the same fragments repeated with obvious intent at a cut that never happened). Not my favorite by far.

some people say this book was hard to listen to for the first time. I wouldn't be able to say anything about that since I read the book several times before I decided to use the audiobook. and therefore I didn't have any problems with following the plot itself. I liked the narrator okay, not great but pretty good.

This story was a bit far fetched even for fiction. There were plot holes and weird plots but I kept with it because it was strangely entertaining.

Absolutely loved it, the characters; the mix of characters, storyline and pace. Romance with the right amount of action didn't give any time to get bored. Can't wait to read the next book in series!

I found it slow to get going and all the names confusing in the beginning, and had to listen to a few parts twice over to get who was who and what they were doing, but it was a great story and narrated well.

Maybe it's just me... but to me, being in love with someone means you know them.

& IMO, if the only thing you know about someone is that you love their long, shiny, coconut smelling hair... you're not in love, you're infatuated at best & in lust at worst!

I liked that it was 3 stories in one, however none of the relationships felt real or well developed, it was ultra-insta-love for all the couples, so all the gushiness felt more ridiculous than endearing!

Ryker was the most fleshed character in the group & my heart went out for him for all he'd suffered through & I can't believe that there wasn't a single worker nearby that Max could've asked to pass a message on.

It wasn't a bad listen, just completely unrealistic... yes, books are forms of escapism, but there has to be some realism in it, IMO at least.

It got really fun, when it went completely overboard with the rescue plan. It was beyond OTT & utterly implausible. That anyone would've been able to plan such a complex mission in under 30mns 🤣

Also, that everyone just decides to go full vigilante even though they're all officers of the law in one form or another.

Excellent narration of the expected tale from this author. Inferno relationship of the MC ignites with some stumbles along the way. Backstories of others woven with the main narrative.
