About this listen
There's no love lost between them...until they're about to lose their lives.
Twelve years ago, Levi McCoy discovered the girl he loved betrayed him. He used the pain to become cold and calculating - the perfect black ops soldier.
When the 707 is assigned to extract a journalist embedded in a deadly terrorist cell, Levi can't believe the face looking back at him from the SITREP file. He's rescuing the same woman who shredded his soul. Worse, she's no longer the naive teenager she pretended to be. She's something far more dangerous.
Blake Porter's heart rate spikes when she recognizes the voice behind her rescuer's black mask. Levi, the high school love who abandoned their perfect relationship without a word of explanation. It's all she can do not to blow her cover and reveal the real reason she's in Yemen.
Amid bombs, blood, and a flood of memories, Levi and Blake face off in a showdown of wills - Levi battling to resist the woman he's never stopped loving, and Blake losing her grip on the need to beg Levi to hear the truth. All the truth - because even if they get out of this alive, their hearts may not survive intact.
Contains mature themes.

Great story
I enjoyed listening to this story, even if I find it a little unbelievable that Levi would so easily give up their relationship. Blake is a lovely strong female character.

Suspenseful Black Ops romance
5* AudioBook Review
Finally Free A Black Ops Romance by Riley Edwards and narrated by CJBloom + Troy Duran.
This book was amazing if you are a black ops, CIA lover and romance. Which I am. I love anything black ops related and my favorite genres are this and romance so for me a winner.
The narration was brilliant and I love Troy Duran as a narrator, he really brings the story to life.
Story outline: Levi and Blake were sweethearts until she ripped his heart out. They come face to face in an undercover assignment and have to work together, which causes strain since neither can forgive the other for their break up aged 18. Only the assigment starts to turn nasty and they need to rely and count on each other. Does their relationship develop and will Levi discover the truth as to why Blake broke up with him in the first place.
The book is fast paced right from the off, I love the descriptions, the way the author has built strong characters and that our MMC is to die for and Blake, our FMC is sassy, strong and an undercover CIA op.
This book is a must read or listen to if you like these genres. I have never read or listened to a Riley Edwards book before but now, well I'm just going to have to binge on them. This is book 3 in the 707 Freedom Series

Better and better
Whilst Jasper is still #1 for me, Levi is quite the hottie. Whilst I’m mildly annoyed at his behaviour and certain I wouldn’t be quite as forgiving as Blake, I loved the storyline and the action was incredible. Blake certainly is an alpha in her own right.
The world and characters the author builds are amazing and really draw you in, so when narrated they really come to life so vividly.
Wonderfully performed by the narrators this series is a fantastic listen and one I’d highly recommend without hesitation.
