This may be my toughest mission yet. None of my SEAL training or my time in the CIA has prepared me for this: a prickly, five-foot-nothing hellcat Jasmin Smith. She was mine. She can fight it all she wanted, but in the end, I would have her every way a man can have his woman. She was a sassy little thing, making me work to bend her to my demands. But I will! I will bend her and tie her to me so tight she would never be able to get free. Only problem is I had to break her first. I had secrets that she needed to know.

Summary
Renowned Chef Elodie Winters’ dream job, private chef to a powerful family in New York, quickly becomes a nightmare when her employer turns out to be the head of a notorious mob family. Now on the run, she thinks she’s finally safe, having landed in the middle of the Arabian Sea, cooking on the Asaka Express cargo ship. When the ship is taken by pirates, she can’t believe her bad luck...but it’s about to take a turn for the better.
Scott “Mustang” Webber is pulled from his current mission, along with the rest of his SEAL team, to prevent an act of piracy in the Middle East. They’re all surprised when the first person to radio for help is a woman. He soon senses “Rachel Walters” is hiding something and offers his help. He’s both shocked and pleased when she actually comes looking for him in Hawaii months later. He’d felt a connection with her on that cargo ship...one he’s looking forward to exploring further.
Keeping Elodie safe in Hawaii turns out to be easy...until it isn’t. Long days in paradise have a way of making one complacent. Now Mustang is working against the clock and the elements themselves, as he faces his greatest mission ever - finding Elodie.
Finding Elodie is the first book in the SEAL Team Hawaii series. Each book is a stand-alone, with no cliff-hanger endings.

Delivery, emotions, pace, everything was great
If you know the author, you know what to expect. That doesn’t mean that there’s nothing new, or that you can’t enjoy it. Because I did.
The story starts just when pirates attack the boat Elodie is on. So right at the beginning, you get a huge load of violence and despair, peppered with all the necessary information about the characters–info dumping is easier when the characters are stuck in their head because they’re alone and must keep silent. It’s done quite well, though the ellipsis in the middle of the pirate attack, when Elodie and Mustang are supposed to talk a lot, doesn’t help with understanding how they connected so fast. If they didn’t insist later that they have feelings for each other, I wouldn’t guess.
What I liked the most was the scenes with Elodie and Mustang’s team. They were funny and sweet–a much needed reprieve in the middle of an intense action packed story. Of course, we also discover the characters who will feature later in the series.
The sexy times were unexpectedly scorching hot! If I had trouble seeing the emotional connection, I never could deny their attraction for each other.
The narrators were real pro. Delivery, emotions, pace, everything was great. I appreciated that there was a third narrator for the few chapters focused on the bad guy. And the teaser at the end? Damn, I want to listen to the next book.

Finding Elodie
Wow I really enjoyed this book. This book was really easy to listen to. Elodie has had to keep hiding and running from her past. She thought taking a job as a cook on a cargo ship would be the safest place to hide. I don't think she expected to find love in the middle of a hostage takeover with the Navy SEAL that rescued her. This book is stacked full of amazing narrators. This book has the amazing Emma Wilder, Jacob Morgan, Aaron Shedlock, and Teddy Hamilton. Teddy makes a guest appearance in the epilogue.

Love these 3 narrators - very happy with how the narration turned out.
I really enjoyed this story and I'm hard to please. Thought the dialogue and storyline were good. While the beginning was extremely similar to a previous book (boat vs airplane) I was okay with it. The rest of the story progressed nicely and I enjoyed the relationship part more than other SS stories. A few parts were really dark. I don't think this one was a typical SS book. Looking forward to the next book in this series.

Loved it!
Susan Stoker always delivers the exact book I am in the mood for. This first book in her SEAL Team Hawaii series pushes all the buttons for me. Romance, suspense, camaraderie, and passion all wrapped into a this amazing listen. Elodie is the chef on a ship taken over by pirates. She hides, makes the call and a SEAL team comes to their aid. Scott "Mustang" Webber is the one she connects with and when they meet, under the direst of circumstance, that connection only grows. Now out of harms way from the ship, Scott wants to pursue this feeling, but there is a secret Elodie has that she cannot share. Until now. Going to Hawaii to hopefully meet up with her loving protector is a long shot. But sometimes fate steps in. But will Mustang be able to keep her safe from her secret? I love Elodie! She is quite the woman. Her incredible strength and willingness to do what it takes to keep under the wire would exhaust me, but she is quickly becoming a master at it. Mustang is incredibly attractive to me, and it's not just the physical. He is protective and loving, and his team is just a benefit it all. Action packed, thrilling suspense and intrigue and a romance to keep the heart warm, Stoker gave it all to me and more, I can't wait for the next in the series.
Emma Wilder and Jacob Morgan brings this gem to life with a wonderful portrayal of the characters. Wilder has an emotional voice, and she can give the strength and fear Elodie has with an inflection that makes you feel it! Mustang needs that strong, alpha protective feel, and Morgan brings it. And I can't forget Aaron Shedock who comes in as the villain! Love his portrayal of the crazy mob boss, keeping him intimidating and real! It's a great listen!

Excellent as always, Susan Stoker.
Scott and Elodie both feel an instant connection when they meet under intense circumstances, while Scott’s SEAL team is rescuing her and her ship/work mates from pirates. The connection is real when the two meet again in Hawaii, the SEAL team’s home base. But Elodie is hiding something and Scott knows it. Elodie is reluctant to involve Scott and his team, because of the danger following her. But she’s falling in love with the big Navy SEAL and resisting his desire to cherish and protect her is futile.
Scott and Elodie make a great couple. Elodie has done a heck of a job protecting herself from the man out to end her. She’s smart and resourceful and scared out of her mind. Scott is wonderful. A bada$$ Navy SEAL as you’d expect, but as sweet and sexy as can be when it comes to loving Elodie.
This is a fast moving story and the ten hours of audio seemed to melt away because the story was so good. I believe this is the first time Susan Stoker has used two narrators and I really enjoyed listening to both female and male voices. I wish the narrators had read the main characters together, instead of narrating each chapter separately. I found the male narrator’s interpretation of Elodie to be very different from the female narrator’s portrayal. Elodie, as narrated by the male, sounded almost snarky, instead of teasing, as she was meant to be. They were more in sync with Scott. Still very much worth the effort and expense of having two narrators.
I highly recommend this book!

I listened to the audio and loved the dual narrators, however, Jacob Morgan was hard to understand - which is surprising since I have listened to other books he has narrated. I'm still unsure if it was Pig or pin or pid. That is one example. I did like the connection with Mountain Mercenaries, Silverston, Rocco and Tex. So cohesive

The story is full of excitement!
I was excited to get and listen to this. A team out of Hawaii. How cool! Plus Elodie’s job’s are super neat...working on a Cargo ship....being the only woman..that takes guts. I really liked her and all the secrecy chasing after her. Her connection to Scott is very real and life-like. Scott aka Mustang is a typical SEAL guy. Possessive and tough but kind at heart. I liked Seeing him work on the ship..yes I liked that.
There are some fun times in here with his team as well as them getting to work together. I really enjoyed them when they hang out with Elodie. Really not how I would picture SEALs. Then when everything goes wrong near the end of the book..seeing them work their magic and care for each other is great.
Overall this is a nice story. I like the cool jobs that the author comes up with for the females in her books. I did listen to this on audio. The narration was good but left something to be desired. There are three narrators. The female was excellent. The male lead sometimes was a struggle to understand and I still don’t know all the names of his team. Jax or Jag..Slade or Slate..and I am guessing at Pid/Pig? Sometimes I heard one way and the next a different letter. While this did irritate me it doesn’t take a lot from the story since they aren’t heavily involved in the story. I could have picked all that up easily from reading the book.

It Pulled Me Right In
I love a book that starts with action and excitement. This one starts with the ship that Elodie is on being boarded by pirates and the excitement just keeps going from there. i liked the bond that was formed between Elodie and Scott right from the beginning. i also like that the relationship took a little time. getting to know the whole team and seeing their bond has me excited for future books.
this was my first book by Susan Stoker and i can't wait to get my hands on more. i've already searched out the books of the past characters mentioned in this book.
the narrators were all wonderful. 5 stars all around.

REC
Ok , I love all of Susan’s books! But this one, it was awesome! Other than the next book which I am looking forward to, it was nice to hear about an old friend and a new one that I am hoping will be a new story!

Finding Elodie
Another great book Susan you never disappoint! Elodie was such a good person but encountered a bad situation and then another one. One good thing that happened was that she met Scott the Navy Seal. Wow! What a man. These two were meant to be together. They became a sexy loving couple and oh my the things they did! This story will keep you reading! You won’t be disappointed.
