• 192 Understanding the Relationship Life Cycle, Pt. 3: The Selling Phase
    Nov 11 2024

In this current podcast series, I’ve been using the analogy that an intimate relationship is a lot like owning a car.

There are 3 major phases when owning a car. There’s the purchase phase, the maintenance phase and the selling phase. If you want a good experience with a car, you need to know how to navigate each of those phases, right?

It’s the same with a relationship. There’s the “purchase phase” (meeting, dating and committing), there’s the “maintenance phase” (keeping the relationship running smoothly) and there’s the “selling phase,” (it’s a lemon, it doesn’t run anymore, time to take the bus.)

Every intimate relationship goes through these phases and it’s important that we know how to navigate each of them—and that’s what this 3-part podcast series is all about.

In this episode, the “ditching phase” is explored. Every relationship ends, sometimes a person passes away (if that’s happened to you, I hope you don’t take offence at my attempt at humor by using “ditch), but other times you discover you “bought a lemon” and it’s time to ditch the thing. As crass as that sounds, we need to talk about when to end a relationship and how to do it consciously.

Don’t miss this playful, insightful episode.

I got to thinking the other day—probably because I have too much time on my hands—that an intimate relationship is a lot like owning a car.

There are 3 major phases when owning a car. There’s the purchase phase, the maintenance phase and the selling phase. If you want a good experience with a car, you need to know how to navigate each of those phases, right?

Every intimate relationship goes through these phases and it’s important that we know how to navigate each of them—and that’s what this 3-part podcast series is all about.

In this episode, the “purchase phase” is explored. What you will learn is if a relationship has 4 specific “features,” you should “sign on the dotted line” and drive that “car” off the lot.

Don’t miss this playful, insightful episode.

  • 189 A Deep Dive Into Trauma: A Conscious Perspective on Life's Deepest Pain (and how to resolve it)
    Oct 21 2024

The issue of "Trauma" brings up some very important questions, the first of which is, how do you know if you have Trauma (with a capital "T") or just basic baggage/pain from the past and its corresponding neurosis?

The second question that comes up is, how do I deal with them? What processes, strategies or support do I need to find freedom from Trauma or basic baggage?

These and other questions are the focus of this episode and it's one you don't want to miss.

  • 188 ChatGPT vs Conscious Wisdom, Question #5: Am I Ready to Work With a Relationship Coach?
    Oct 14 2024

There are some very important questions that single people ask concerning their pursuit of intimacy, but in this, the final episode of the series, there’s a big twist.

Instead of addressing another frequently asked question, as was the case in the previous four episodes, Roy addresses a question that single people should be asking, but usually don’t.

In the final episode of the series, Roy puts the question you should be asking to A.I. (Artificial Intelligence, i.e., ChatGPT) and compares its answers to C.I. (Conscious Intelligence).

This episode’s question is… well, you have to listen to find out!!

    Oct 7 2024

There are some very important questions that single people ask concerning their pursuit of intimacy, and in this episode, we address the third question.

But where do you go for answers you can trust?

Well, at the risk of oversimplifying, you can ask A.I. (Artificial Intelligence via the Internet) or you can seek C.I. (Conscious Intelligence via a relationship expert).

A.I. is all the rage, and perhaps ChatGPT is the most popular version going. It’s sort of like Google. You can ask it questions and it will give you answers based on all the digital information that’s found online. It’s pretty amazing.

That got our host thinking: What does ChatGPT have to say about some of the most important and relevant questions we have about our pursuit of intimacy?

So, in this, the first of a five-part series, Roy puts questions to A.I. and compares its answers to C.I. (Conscious Intelligence) so that you can be fully informed and make the best decisions and choices for your love life.

This episode’s question is, “What makes a WOMAN most attractive to the opposite sex?”
