loved it!! some people may call the writing not too in keeping with equality and feminism but I think it just has to be seen as the way that family is. I think if every single family member was a killing machine / commando of death the book would be far too simplified. had a mini manly cry at the end (no spoilers), worth a read and for me it was perfect.

I can’t quite make up my mind about this book or narrator. The narrator has a sing-song style which works some of the time but the rest of the time verges on irritating. With the book itself I feel the same sort of inconsistency: sometimes the pace and content are excellent but at other times I want to say ‘just get on with it’.

Having said all this I’m going to try book 2 and see how it goes.

Zombie fallout book 1 is the total package. As is the whole series, It's a proper zombie series that has a fantastic story and is funny as hell
