Summary

Katmai National Park: 7,000 square miles of rugged, isolated wilderness in southern Alaska. Vast stretches of frozen tundra, deep ancient forests, and impassable ravines ruled by the massive volcanic God, Devil's Desk.

Despite the vigorous protests of Michael, the Talbots and the Tynes head to the park for a much-needed vacation away from it all.

The adventure begins with deluxe cabins, mind-blowing scenery, and a cast of suspiciously odd characters, including a few old friends they’ve never met. But the idyllic surroundings quickly devolve into a hellscape as a mutilated body is discovered, the earth breaks apart around them, the worst storm in history moves in…and a terrifying race of flesh devouring monsters hunts down the desperate, forsaken group.

Yep. They should have gone to Vegas.

Done it again.

Once again Mark Tufo writes another great story.
Its everything you want from one of his books action packed adventure. It's like rejoining with old friends if you have listened to his other books the writing draws you in making you bond with the characters hating some and loving others. How he they come alive is down to his incredible writing and the truly talented Sean Runnette who is an incredible narrator and the two of them combine is a truly magical combination. I can not recommend listening to this and his other books enough.

Thoroughly Enjoyed this book!

As ever Mark Tufo has written a book that keeps you glued laughing and crying to the very end. I didn't want to finish and it come to an end. Mike and BT bounce off each other and made me laugh out loud. The action is non stop and wow Tracy is badass! loved it! Hope he writes more in this universe. Not forgetting Tripp who is always a joy. 5 stars without a doubt 👍

Comical nonsense

Like the zombie series it’s a bit hit or miss but helped fill in some dog walking hours. Not to taxing on the brain and when I zoned out didn’t feel I’d missed much.

Always entertaining

The writing, characters and performance by Sean is, as always entertaining and fun, however, it’s no different than all the Zombie books apart from Zombies being swapped out for Yeti, other than that it follows the exact format. Why change a winning formula? Well It starts becoming stale and repetitive if not. I was hoping for something a bit different. This could easily have been a zombie story set in Alaska.

another brilliant book

I didn't know what to expect, no zombies, vampires, werewolves etc, but all my dreams came true. the best of the bunch together, Mike, bt ( big tits) lol, trip and BIGFOOT.. what a great adventure and the way mark manages to entwine all the characters together is so cleaver, getting crusty the clown in was sheer genius. and sean is brilliant, his accents make me laugh so much, Nona sounded Jamaican lol. love these books. on to the next

Not sure why the start is there....

I enjoyed this, and found it hard not to finish despite the intensely gross descriptions sometimes! Reminded me of James Herbert! What confused me was the start - the whole section in the mine just didn't seem to have anything to do with the main story!

Excellent gory fun

A brilliant tale of best friends Vs the apocalypse and keeping their humanity.
The bromance is strong but healthy with mostly likeable and relatable characters.
highlights are any scene involving Trip.
