About this listen
A New York Times best-selling author offers a groundbreaking approach to activate the subconscious brain to set yourself free from your past and create a terrific future.
Have you ever been surprised by the power of your subconscious brain? Perhaps it took control of the wheel as your conscious mind was busy tackling a problem during a 30-minute drive home. You barely remember making your way from the office, but then your car ended up safely in your driveway. Perhaps a name escaped you at some point during your day. Despite trying your hardest to remember it, the conscious parts of your brain couldn't retrieve what you were seeking. Then, your subconscious worked its magic and presented you with the answer hours later. It had been hard at work for you this whole time, and you didn't even realize it!
In this audiobook, Dr. Mike Dow shares a program he created - subconscious visualization technique (SVT) - and cutting-edge tools to help you learn how to speak directly to your subconscious brain and tap into your greatest strengths, gifts, and resources. His program starts with cognitive therapy, then incorporates various types of subconscious tools: mindfulness, relaxation training, hypnosis, meditation, cognitive rehearsal, and guided imagery.
Includes three audiobook-exclusive hypnosis sessions guided by the author:
Bonus Audio: Tree of Wisdom
Bonus Audio: Hypnosis for Migraines and Headaches
Bonus Audio: Hypnotic Gastric Band

Left feeling completely on edge by the guided exercises in this book
Having read many others of the same theme and listened to many other versions of guided SVT and hypnosis, this was unlike anything I’d ever heard before and my heart began to beat quite fast during the session so had to turn it off. Very strange indeed. I’ve read a few other reviews since who said similar so glad I’m not alone.
The content of the book is good, but Dr Dows narration and hypnosis technique leave little to be desired.

Interesting concept
A good book for learning about self-hypnosis. Good exercises and they work. I tooke me some time to reach the level of relaxation. I tried some chapters several time and I was shocked to visualise some memories of my childhood. They were so real.

Nothing To Get Excited About.
Nothing particularly new here. Just another book with a twist on brainwave entrainment.
There are other books out there that pretty much give you the same informatuon in less than half the time of this over cooked long winded drivel.
The Silva Mind Control method is a better option in my opinion.
There was an exercise where the narrator got so excited I thought he was about to pee himself. Didn't do much for relaxing during the exercise.

Over enthusiastic
Not enjoyable or relaxing at all, too enthusiastic and excitable, when their supposed to be calming.
